Would you trade for Draymond?

Other than his tiff with KD, who is a bitch so I can't blame Draymond too much, has he really caused issues for team chemistry? I keep seeing that pop up in the thread.

KD has rabbit ears and wanted to be treated with kid gloves. Draymond went over the line with his comments, but KD was already leaving... Draymond gave him a good excuse.

For his talents he'd be a fantastic addition. For his actions, he'd be an absolute terrible addition. So that's a pass for me.

Well when you get suspended during the Finals and pretty much are the sole reason your team lost, yeah.

Easy yes if possible, that starting 5 would be beyond sick and I actually really like how Dray would fit on our squad, but I don't see any reason for GS to do it.

From their perspective just tank this season, trade DLO for something (Covington is the guy I keep seeing floated) and show up next season with Curry/Klay/Covington/Green/??? + lotto pick and whatever of the youth from this season works out.

Edit: Also, I don't think Draymond can be traded until right before the trade deadline due to when he signed his extension.

Yall are acting like Green is Kyrie or Jimmy Butler. Dudes won a few rings and is competitive as hell... His antics are the type of stuff you hate to play against but love (mostly) when he's on your team. The only issue is acquisition cost... it's like a huge issue, but fit/personality/contract ain't the problem. Dude is a competitive mother effer… he's an agitator... he's not as lovable as Joe Ingles or Patrick Beverly but that is partly because they've won so much. To win at the highest levels you need guys that are comfortable with confrontation... he feeds off of confrontation and conflict. If we had him we'd win it all.

Uhhhh… let's re-visit him being the sole reason his team lost... He got suspended but was a big part of the reason they were there. Averaged like 15/10/6 during that playoff while anchoring a very good defense.

The finals... he goes 16.5/10/6 on 48/41/78 shooting splits... adds a couple steal and a block while guarding the best player in the world... Steph goes 22.6/5/4 on 40/40/90 splits. Kyrie gives him 27/4/4 on 47/40/94 splits...

Game 7...Draymond gets 32 pts 15 rebs and 9 assists... on 15 shots... Steph goes 6/19 for 17 pts... 2 assists and 4 turnovers

Saying he's the sole reason they lost is inaccurate. he was one of the main reasons they were even there and lost his cool in one moment to get suspended... there were many other reason they lost... He gets some of the blame pie but so does Steph.

Disagree. It was 3-1. It should've never gotten to that point. He was too valuable.

So I guess the answer is no. That was unfortunate but not a locker room issue.

There have been many hints of locker room issues the last couple of years (see David West comments for example). And the feud between KD and DG has been well documented. Green even got suspended for the confrontation.

In terms of realistic 4's I'd like to see what the Wiz would need for Bertans. Dude can shoot it.

I already addressed the KD thing. Dray was wrong but KD is also a ***** *** bitch. So whatever. Not sure what David Wests comments were. Link? Seems like everyone on the team and coaching staff outside of KD love him.

he was suspended to appease KD in hopes of recruiting him. How much friction was there before KD entered the picture. There were apparently a lot of players on that team frustrated at KDs half in commitment. KD is petty as hell and Green has a personality and intensity that can wear people out... most of it comes from a place that is good... dude wants to win.

His passing would unlock a ton of stuff in our offense. His defense would build on what we already have. He could play small ball 5 when Rudy is out. He gets some techs... he whines... he’s intense in the locker room... he’s also really ****ing good and would put us over the top.

we don’t have the goods to trade for him... so it ain’t worth all the discussion. Acquisition price would be my only real concern.

Portland could trade like Zach Collins, a first this year, and Bazemore and its better than anything we’d offer. I don’t think they move him this year. I think they will try and build a contender around Steph Klay and Draymond plus whatever they get in the draft and whatever they get for Russell (they should move him now before teams find out he isn’t good).
