What's new

Jazz at Laker... Errr Timberwolves 6pm MST

The thing is we just played this team and struggled. You would think Quin would have made some adjustments to make the offense a little less grindy.

Well, Graham hit 2 3s (16% shooter) and Culver hit 1 lucky 3 (29%) and we're still up. KAT will probably get going, so Donovan and Mike will have to step up.

I want to give props to Jeff Green. I've said a lot about him but he was pretty good in the first half. Played defense too.

Bojan hits a three off a double screen wide open look. 16 points. Hot.

Next play we give it to Bojan for a pnr with Gobert... turnover.

Next play Conley passes to Bogdanovic for a well covered three (no screen)... miss.

We then proceed to go minutes without even getting Bogdanovic another look. NO attempt to run the same play that got a wide open three. NO attempt to force them to try to stop what is working. Maybe they CAN'T stop it. Maybe they can stop it but it will open up other defensive weaknesses to exploit. We'll never know because we refuse to keep going with what works.

Wake. Up. Quin. Please and thank you.

As bad as it is we're winning on the road (where we're typically bad so far this season). A win will be sweet.

Joe Ingles should start. I'm not saying this because he plays well, quite the opposite. I say this because Ingles has declined so much that O'neale is now better at offense.

I'm really starting to believe that Quin is just not a good offensive coach. Like we have no gameplan offensively. And our numbers offensively have always been subpar under Quin.

And I hate saying that because I like Quin. But how can the offense be this damn bad, this damn rudderless, with this much talent?
I think there are plenty reasons to think that Q knows good offense. But there are reasons to believe that he isn’t a great teacher of offense; it just takes too long for his teams to GET IT.

He also plays better with better players around him. He needs good players around him.
