I think the story of this team has to include a Rock Bottom

The way things have gone with the team’s passing and shot distribution, in particular, I think it’s increasingly clear that the list of necessary changes to the offense is pretty long. And I think it involves refitting and retooling the offense down to its foundational principles. This has been Q’s worst result in all his years here; things have to change.

I hope this road trip got the attention of the right players, coaches, and execs. It’s time to challenge the basic assumptions of this offense.

And I’ll just add one one thing: Donovan needs to pull his head out of his ***. The way he’s forcing his offense (and where he’s forcing his offense) has been trash for several of the past 10 games.

Ok, one more thing. Teh ****, Conley??? ****.

I normally associate rock bottom with doing heroin with hookers at the Coburg Motor Inn (do yourself a favour and google it) but each to their own I suppose.

K.

What Utah needs is homecourt. If you want them going on some soul searching journey then you might as well write the season off. Lakers Clippers, Nuggets, Mavs, Rockets. Who is Utah going to upset? Looks to me like another first round bust, which is a wasted season. But hit that rock bottom, man. Maybe they can chat up Golden State down there, and challenge them to break their heroin needles and race them back to the 8th seed.

At some point, all of the character of our team is going to have to matter. That would be the difference between rallying and just absolutely imploding.

Tonight wasn’t our Rock Bottom. There’s further to fall.
The “soft spot” of the schedule may be eye opening, especially as we may mentally go on cruise control because “man we just played a hard stretch [at least that’s what all the talking heads kept regurgitating], and per them, all the rest of these games are in the bag already.”

I need us to gut stomp some teams and show we aren’t ****ing around.

I think this is it. At least I hope so.

The schedule eases up from here, but we have a long way to go if we expect to be contenders again.
