Trump might redefine Judaism to be a nationality

Trump’s evangelical friends and Netanyahu the Jewish supremacist are pleased. This is comparable to signing an executive order that accuses anyone who criticizes the US government of being anti-american. This alone should be considered an impeachable offense, as it’s contrary to the American principle of freedom of speech. An executive order to put limitations on the 1st Amendment on behalf of a foreign country, FFS.

Amare Stoudemire apparently considers himself Jewish. I was reading interview where he was talking about his kosher diet and how he can't eat shrimp.

Exactly. I don't consider Amare to be Israeli for his ethnicity or nationality. Just Jewish for his religion which makes complete sense.

What Trump is doing here is attempting to blend hate for jews in general with criticism of a political movement. This is going to blow up in his face.

You can become a Jew without becoming a citizen, but you can't become a Jew without becoming eligible for the citizenship. Isn't that how all jus sanguinis countries work?

Anyway, I think we may differ here on the meaning of ethnicity and nationality. I consider them synonymous. I think the way you're using nationality is the way I would use the word citizenship.
