Utah, 25-12, playing at home. Charlotte, 15-25, still recovering from a six-game losing streak over the holidays.

Can they take it to overtime again? Who will be better, Monk or Mitchell?

Utah away is going to be tough, but this year's team has surprised me before. Let's go Hornets!

Fun fact: the Hornets/Bobcats haven't won in Utah since March of 2006. Brevin Knight was our leading scorer with 19 points

hornets record- 7 wins and 13 losses at home, 8 wins and 12 losses on the road

no real advantage for hornets no matter where they play. jazz coach quin snyder never blinked when gordon hayward left for the celtics. expect a defensive clinic. this might be a game where biz and zeller need to be on the court together. hornets cannot expect to fall behind by double digits and come back.

You wouldn't blink either if you had Rudy Gobert
Most under appreciated player in the league.

Hopefully Quin Snyder blows his top and get ejected again

I'd like to win but smell a loss

Bogdanovich is going to get up at least 25 uncontested 3PAs tonight.
He’ll probably break the NBA record.

The longest 10 minutes on earth are between scheduled tip off time, and actual tip off time

The first outing of a four-game Western road trip.

I think the cats get a dose of reality today. Blowout start to finish.

I can't believe we are still 9th in the East. We need to lose 20 in a row to send a statement to the league

we don't have fans anyways. just victims of abuse who should've left years ago

Please take Biyombo out
Terrible hands, under sized , dominated by gobert, and made 3 boneheaded plays already

Feels like this game is moving in slow motion. Is the pace really that slow, or is their court playing tricks on my eyes?

Jeez what is going on are we drunk?

What a waste of time, why even show up to the arena if you don't want to play

This just feels like a huge personel mismatch

thats enough basketball for tonight

The only positive so far is that I have Bogdanovic in my fantasy team

Wow- Utah is smothering us on defense

This is a 30 pt. Loss. Not in the same league as Utah. Smart team, knows how to play , they’ve had more layups and open looks in one quarter than hornets will get in entire game

We lookin like poopoo.

Also not loving the Jazz announcers but can't find a Hornets feed. They called Gobert slipping a screen for the oop an example of how complex the Jazz offense is, and they narrated Gobert calling Biz "young fella" as if Biz is some rookie lol.

I don't think we've generated a single open catch and shoot 3 this entire game

Just go home you bums

What even is defence

Have the hornets won a single 50/50 ball this entire game? i really don't think they have

Biz can't be bothered to actually reach down and catch passes that aren't perfectly placed in his hands

Saw two near falls during that stunt team performance. Both could have happened and it still wouldn't have been as ugly as our play this game.

Too bad hornets aren’t in the west They would have the first pick in the draft easy

Hornets are only team I see that close out on 3 pt shooters by sprinting and jumping past the shooter landing in the third row almost , The shooter then just waits for them to float by and shoot a uncontested 3
Because they read hornets scouting report, or let defender float on by them and then drive and play 5 on 4

Cant believe we hired Clifford over Snyder. Snyder has went all out Tony Montana on blow in years past but hes brillian

The phrase "Fire at will!" comes to mind.

I think we still have a chance...

Quin is a great coach. A lot of teams regret passing on him.

Woorr……

It's been a long day so I hope someone can tell me something positive from this game besides improving our draft position. I'll never get tired of close, exciting losses this season but this has been unpleasant to watch.

Dude our players are just straight up losing the ball as soon as they touch it. Failing to get any rebound with even the slightest of contact

Are we a bad team?

is it ever our night?

Cmon guys. We even make no names look good. We have got to be better. We got dominated in every aspect of the game.

Well... Not the game I could watch until the end. Except for Rozier, the rest seemed to be somewhere else.

Defense definitely gotta be better, and we need a rim protector badly

well that's one to move on from

It’s just a face punching session. Should of beat the raptors for the morale now we’re going to have to face some ugly matchups with a slightly depressed attitude.

probably the worst game I've seen this team play all season.
Kudo’s go out to

Terry Rozier for trying to do all he could to keep the game as close as it was 20+ points

Willy Hernangomez for a perfect game off the bench to at least make the box score palatable.

I picked the perfect night
to play catch-up on the phone with my brother. We didn’t budge in the draft order. Still slot 9 after tonight’s *** whooping.

we could be down 40 or 50 easily lol

My newly fiance and her 4 kids (yeah she has 4 kids and i asked her to marry me on december 20th) and my 2 sons are going to their first Hornets game in March. My sons know all about the Hornets, they're pumped. Her kids, eh we will leave the 3 and 6 year old at home. The 10 year old boy and 12 year old girl tuned in tonight. They are not as pumped anymore. I dont blame them. I almost don't want to raise them to be a Hornets fan.

Worst loss of the season or close to.

Other than Rozier and Willy in garbage time everyone else was bad, especially Devonte who had his second stinker in a row. Four points, five assists, five turnovers for a -29. Yeesh

Played against the best team in the NBA recently on the road, taking anything out of that game isn't good, just pretend it didnt happen

I wonder if Biyombo could hit the buyout market.

After watching Ed operate in the pick and roll I have no interest in seeing Biz fumble the ball everywhere.

Hernangomez is interesting but he’s soft like Tony.

The layup line in the playoffs may change your mind. Rudy foul trouble? ****ed.

I hope we upgrade Tony but Biz ain’t it for me. Someone will get bought out or some player will shake loose... I still want to see what Juwan Morgan could do there... he couldn’t be worse on defense than Tony right?

I think Quin will murder Tony, JZ, and several hookers if he has to play Bradley in the playoffs.

Extremely small sample size, I know, but Morgan looked bad last night. Still want to see Brantley get a shot.

I think Hernangomez could be a trade deadline deal if nothing better materializes. Could do TB straight across which could actually make sense from both team’s perspectives.

He seems really passive in his garbage time minutes... he also is either told to sit in the corner or that’s just what he does... he needs real minutes and I’d like to see him in screen and roll... in the one game he got real minutes he made some nice defensive plays and was good guarding a couple switches.

The Jazz did a great job on Graham. The gameplan was obviously on point that you can't give him space for three. They smothered him at three point line all night. Royce in particular gave him fits.

Hornets fans are so beaten down that you dont have those "homer fans" anymore. Losing so often have driven those fans out. The Jazz could have easily been one of those small market terrible decision basketball teams.

Thank god for the Miller family having the drive to preserve this team. And being smart enough to trust the people they hire to make the basketball decisions.
