Jeff Green revenge game, 7 pm MST

Also this we have no assholes... last couple years we’d have Jae getting into it every couple nights... we got no tough guys at all... while that stuff isn’t like the end all be all it does fire guys up. We need an enforcer... like what guy is gonna come over and shove someone when they foul DM super hard. Even a guy like Alex Len would be okay... he gives super hard fouls that piss people off. We need some assholes.

Good post.

We rely so much on Donovan, Clarkson, Conley and Mudiay for points. I dont think I have ever seen a team rely on that many small players for such a significant amount of points. People give Houston a hard time for playing small when in many ways, we have our own size issues.

And Conley, yep, he needs to go this off-season. Trade him to NY for cap space. Don't even worry about an asset in return. Keep Clarkson. Keep Mudiay. Find two perimeter defenders.

What happens in the off season if Conley, Clarkson and Mudiay all walk away? Do we make a couple of swell free agent signings like Davis and Green. Or do we bring back JLIII?

I was really thinking today that Bojan will be a huge liability, if his shot is off we are screwed. When defenses focus in on him he coughs up the ball. Man Favors with less range would have been better right now. We miss him dearly

Or course. He is the ultimate tank commander. We will play really small ball.

Oh man, please dont say that. I'm looking at the roster and the lack of assets and realize, if Rudy flees, this team is set up for some incredible tank possibilities.

I'm afraid I'm too old to endure another tank job.

Did you not watch us get our asses kicked with Favors by the Rockets the last two years in the playoffs?

Please. Conley (if he is still here) and Gobert would be a combined 61M off the books in the summer of 2021. That is one of the most loaded free agent classes of recent memory. We literally have only 40M of guaranteed contracts past that summer not including Mitchell’s extension. We still would have Mitchell, Bogey, Ingles and Royce. There is no tank coming anytime in the near future.

Or we will miss him. As I watch this season of debacles unfold, i suspect he will seek other places.
I doubt there is another team that thinks they should build around a defensive center like we believe we can.

And even though we haven't shown we know how to build around a defensive center, we'll give Rudy all the money he wants, because we don't have a plan B.

$ does not put the ball through the hoop. Players do. And what players worth their weight in gold will want to come here with nothing besides Mitchell to build around and play under a failed coach?

did you see us get our asses kicked last night and the other rockets game in utah? Favors would eat Tucker alive with small ball

Eh, I don't put near as much stock in a two game sample size during the regular season as I do a 10 game sample size during the playoffs.

fair but wrap your mind around if Bojan gets cold then what ?

I agree, it would definitely be a problem. To be honest I don't think we would stand a chance against the Rockets in the playoffs, but I guess I'm just glad the front office at least tried to improve the team, even though it hasn't worked out the way we all hoped, instead of just running it back again with a team that had clearly reached it's ceiling.

I also agree, we need some more pieces that are versatile and not one dimensional.

I’m curious how a Mitchell-Jingles-Bogey-Favors-Gobert starting lineup would work.

Yes we’d have the same four as last season who wouldn’t stretch the floor but Bogey>>>>>Rubio so far as that goes. And obviously Favors would help make our d infinitely better.
