I want to win, so ya I pick Gobert, and we’ll get more assets trading Donovan seeing as he will be controlled the next 5 years by whatever team. So it will be easier to rebuild by a ****ing *** mile.

Tony Jones in his latest Athletic article “If you made a list of the most untouchable players in the league, Mitchell would be on that list. He’s a dynamic talent, who is very well liked and a draw to other players around the league. He’s been terrific in the community.” Like grind that ax all you want, Donovan ain’t going anywhere. And no it absolutely won’t.

What players has he drawn to Utah, Conley has drawn more here.

?? Last time I checked he hadn’t even finished up 3 seasons yet? Relationships with players closer to his age are what matters going forward. Most of which are not FA at this point in their career. The likelihood of him getting a headlining name to play here is low. But good role players is something I think is likely going forward. “If you made a list of most untouchable players in the league, Mitchell would be on that list” Did he stutter?......Rudy is amazing and changes and impacts the game in many great ways. It’s still Donovan who is the future of the franchise.

So basically in 5 years we are good to go, great plan, idiot

Gobert of course, he's a top-10 player impact-wise and has gotten better each season.

Donovan started the season strong but then quit playing defense. His poor decisions late in games cost a few games too.
He's a young star on a cheap contract, is so fun to watch. I doubt he can ever be a tier-1 star tho. And I'm annoyed by his off the court attitude this season, particularly after the ASB. He's the type of person that will prioritize fame and money.

So if I had to choose between him and Gobert, it's easily Gobert. Dude is a true winner.

A lineup of Conley, Royce, Ingles, Bojan, Gobert alone is enough to secure HCA next season.

Plus, a club like NYK, MIN, SAC or CLE may easily overpay for Donovan Mitchell.
A creative trade + Conley on a bigger role = contention
