Trade SZN

I’m not saying we should trade Rudy just having DWill flashbacks... and if these packages get crazy then I’d consider it. 4 quarters don’t make a dollar but 6 quarters might.

Portland getting better, Phoenix getting better, Golden state will be better, Minnesota should be better, LAL & LAC won't be worse Denver & Dallas too.
....... We're one Player away to be contenders if we do nothing this year for two years We'll be lottery team.
We are more than just one player away to be contender. We need perimeter defense + rebounding/size/athleticism at 3/4. These deficiencies won't get covered by just one player. And we will be a lottery team this season if we fail to bring JC back/make necessary moves to fill our bench.

Low key deal? - Ed Davis and #23 for PJ Tucker and the worst 1st Houston gets after trading Harden and Westbrook?

I don't think we get a pick back for that. I'm not sure we need a pick back for that. PJ Tucker fixes a lot wrong with the team and getting rid of Davis allows us to resign Clarkson and use our Mid Level exception to sign perimeter defense. Not sure why Houston gives up Tucker though. . .

If the league doesn’t actually address what Sacramento and Milwaukee just did then I can promise we’ve been getting deep dicked by teams tampering prior to free agency for years. Either get rid of the rules so everyone is playing on a level playing field or address this. The deals getting done at 12:01 is one thing... teams agreeing on a sign and trade 4 whole days before free agents are supposed to be negotiating is some ********.
Deep dicking confirmed.

There is no way that any team, well very few anyway, does not participate in this. You better believe there are plenty of golf outings and lunches between agents and GMs with conversation that just happens to shift to the upcoming free agency and how so-and-so might be open to moving, and that yeah hypothetically we could offer $X, you know, if there was any interest come the deadline. You know, like maybe with Boozer's agent. Who's to say?

I think he gets moved... problem is the timing. I think he is moved after they move Harden and Westbrook. It shows their hand and they lose a potential asset to include if they need. Tucker would be great for us... we'd still need a guard defender but having a stretch 4 that can spend 12 minutes a night as the backup small ball center would be fantastic. He's also a MFER and we need one of those in the worst way.

Donte for our 1st this year?
Maybe... I think they'd prefer to keep him. They don't want to suck but somehow they continue to suck just enough to miss the playoffs but not hard enough to get the talent they need.

Both shaq harrison and Dunn are available right now. The jazz gotta at least attempt to have meetings with these guys.
Based on how FA is running I hope they already have a deal in place or they are running behind schedule. Sign Shaq to a long term deal in the 3-4M range and I will build a small shrine to DL in my backyard... or at least take back a few of the mean things I've said about him.

I agree 100% this will help us on the defensive end of things. Then we need to look to make a trade of mike Conley for an athletics big guy or Davis and a pick for an upgrade idk

I don't see us moving Mike... we are so conservative and I think all the chaos around us may have us shrink back a little rather than jump into the morass.

Something good/valuable will shake loose its a matter of being able to capitalize on it.

Yeah that is kind of the problem, we wait for something to shake loose and settle for that, which is called taking the scraps that fall off the table, or we set our sights on something the others will probably take last, like the leg of mutton (Conley) when there is still a platter of deep-fried turkey legs on the table that we just don't want to fight over.

Well I thought we were the mid 2010s atlanta hawks of the west but I was wrong about that. We're not getting out of the 1st round for the foreseeable future. We're the 2018-2020 indiana pacers of the west. 1st round exit until we shake it up. Honestly I'm in favor of blowing it up and going for a quick rebuild while we have Donny locked up for 5 more years. Trade Rudy, expirings, etc. for assets and attempt to make a run at it in Mitchell's last few years
