Ayton vs Rudy is interesting.
Per 36 Rudy gobert: 17 points, 16 rebounds, 3 blocks. 68% from the field. 62% from the line.
DeAndre Ayton: 17 points, 12 rebounds, 1.5 blocks. 63% from the field. 77% from the line.
I think we all agree that gobert is the better defender. (probably by quite a decent margin)
We also probably all agree that Ayton is the better offensive player. Though looking at it statistically he doesn't really do any more than Rudy on offense with those better offensive skills.
Even in the playoffs this year their numbers were very similar and Rudy might even come out on top statistically in that comparison (I would need more time and a calculator to really do this comparison but just eyeballing their playoff stats this season and ballparking them they are pretty close.)
