Utes 2011 Football Discussion

As a Ute fan, I honestly could care less that they lost this game. They didn't deserve a chance at the PAC 12 champ game and they are a mediocre team at best (this game shows that they're more than likely less than mediocre at best). With that said, the last time the Utes had a down season like this and ended it semi-strong, they went undefeated the next year and beat the **** out of BYU and Alabama.
 
Maybe they decided to lose to take the heat away from their basketball team getting their *** handed to them by a nonathletic scholarship Ivy league team, Harvard.

I understand what you are saying, but I don't think they are near that level next year.
 
I do feel bad for Archie. I think he may be the only non-tool Ute fan on this board. Sorry, Arch. Given the context of the season the Utes did ok.

Agreed. Mediocre QB to begin the year. An even more questionable one to end the year. They desperately need some kind of stability there. They would have embarrassed themselves in the Championship game anyway.

That's being really, really kind. Wynn was crap from the get go (this year), and Hays was more or less as bad. The worst QBs in the BCS, and really, for the season, Utah was competing for worst QB-play in D-I.

Improvement there should not be difficult.

I don't know that I'd call it rooting against a rival moreso rooting against a few tools that cheer for them.

I tend to agree. I don't want to say they can't get much worse because they may do just that. Anyway, here's hoping they get that situation resolved. White had about as much chance as I did in the 1st half when Chow and company refused to throw the ball.
