Utes 2011 Football Discussion

I have no problem admitting I cheer against Utah. No problem whatsoever. I cheer against a lot of teams. I know a lot of people who cheer against BYU. I see nothing wrong with that either. And Numberica may not call it a rivalry, but it is.

Lesson of the season... For both schools?

It's amazing what crappy schedules can do for you. The Ute offense actually looked half decent the past few games (and that offense basically consisted of Hays handing the ball off to White). Take White away, and the offense slides back to being Utah HS 3a level. Amazing what happens when you play sucky teams, your offense might actually look decent!

Lesson #2? Get a damn QB. It really isn't that hard. You don't need Luck or Barkley. Just someone that can complete a damn 10 yard pass.

Both the Utes and Cougs need to get better offensive lines and QBs. Especially the Utes. They had a lot of nice pieces this year, the makings for a very explosive offense (quite honestly, they could have been 2nd in the pac to Oregon this year). Just imagine if they had a half decent QB that could sling that rock around to their good WRs and then use White to pop a few big plays through.

Wasn't this Colorado's first road win in like 4 years? Nice job....

Maybe they decided to lose to take the heat away from their basketball team getting their *** handed to them by a nonathletic scholarship Ivy league team, Harvard.

FYI, that nonathletic Ivy league team beat 20th ranked Florida State today.
They can't be that bad, so it's possible (1 in a Million) the Utes are not as bad as you think they are.

So I guess UCLA gets the "honor" of being the pac-12 south represenative...enjoy two b2b beatdowns!!!! probably still fire that horrible coach

See, now this is weird to me. Are you stoked that Utah lost, or are you just stoked that Salty's team lost? This is an important distinction.

For myself, when Utah wins I'm happy that my parents' team won. When they lose, I'm happy that Salty's team lost. It's great either way. :-)

I somehow blame Salty for this loss, like the Utes players were reading up his posts and forget that they might actually have to show up today to play.

As a Ute fan, I honestly could care less that they lost this game. They didn't deserve a chance at the PAC 12 champ game and they are a mediocre team at best (this game shows that they're more than likely less than mediocre at best). With that said, the last time the Utes had a down season like this and ended it semi-strong, they went undefeated the next year and beat the **** out of BYU and Alabama.

As a Colorado fan, I was thrilled about this win. I don't care if it was St. Mary's School for the Blind, Colorado hasn't won on the road in an eternity.

I don't like that Utah has been made Colorado's rival either. For years I cheered for the Utes partially because of their geographical proximity to the Jazz, and partially because they've run a good program and were BCS busters for so many years. It feels bizarre to root against them and for them to be considered a rival, even though the geographic rivalry makes sense.
