I also most want to see what Hayward can do this year, if he's the same guy we saw at the end of last year, if he backslides, or if he's even better.

Second I want to see what Burks can do. It would rock to have a legit 2, and I want to see what he can do from 3 with real competition.

Third I want to see Favors. I want to see if he developed a go to shot in the post. I want to see him crush a few blocks into the stands. I want to see him take a nice pass from Hayward and "throw down a two handed hunk of love" as Locke would say.

Oh, the fourth thing I want to see is the Jazz dump the Locke radio thing during games and just have that lady from the Amex recording update the score after each score.

I voted Burks, but really it's a toss up between him and Favors for me. They looked great at the charity event.

Hayward
Favors
Burks
Kanter

In that order

This.

I want to see if Favors and Hayward can further develop chemistry together. Early last year I said I thought Hayward could be are franchise player. I can definitely see him scoring 18 to 20 per and 6 or 7 assists 6 rebounds from the sf position. He comes up big in the clutch on both sides of the ball. I loved how Hayward and Favors played off each other in the Laker game. I want to see more of that.

This too.

Larry's not white. Larry's clear.

I think anyone excited to see Kanter will be massively disappointed. I doubt he'll be good this year. His third year will be the big year for him, in my opinion.

I think Favors tops the list for me. Then Burks. I expect goodness from Hayward, which may not be fair, but that's the way it is.

As for suit guy, I would do a rotation of Bell and Price after the Jazz resign Watson and Price.

I don't get it, but I laughed.

Have to agree.

What I said as well .. Hell, you're smarter than I thought.

1) Favors-elite ceiling for a big and just 20 years old
2) Burks-potentially elite ceiling for a wing
3) Jefferson-massive potential...this is his second and potentially final season for me here...he's been in the league long enough and if he can't show massive improvement in conditioning, defensive awareness and effort, and an ability to play team ball, he needs to go
4) Hayward-Too Big Yo
5) Harris-can he be our point guard? I highly doubt it but let's see how he does.
6) Kanter-we've already seen him a decent little amount and his time should be so limited (Jefferson, Favors, Millsap and maybe even Okur) that putting him higher makes little sense to me.
7) Millsap-how has his evolved this year?
8) Miles-has he bridged his relationship with Trout and eliminated chucking from his vocabulary?
9) Evans--has plastic man 2.0 truly developed his game?

It's a quote from the movie Space Jam. Bill Murray talking about Larry Bird. Very funny.

I think Favors is the one that I am most interested in seeing this year. To see if he has developed like we hope he can.

I think Kanter will get the Okur/Fess/Elson back-up minutes. But yeah, that might only be 15 mins., especially if Millsap continues to take minutes at PF.
'Only' 15 minutes? Wow--if a Jazz backup center actually averaged more than 5 to 7 minutes per game, maybe he could actually develop. What a concept.

How about actually contributing to the thread, as opposed posting yet another cynical anti-Sloan remark??? What a concept!

For the record, I simply cannot choose a specific player. There are way too many players that Im going to be seriously inspecting this season, whether its Al, Sap, or the youngins. Our team will be very exciting to follow (of us anyway) this coming season. Very stoked.
