Added to Calendar: 12-08-21

Wolves have been good on defense, but they play TOR style. They go for a steal every possession. Should be easy because our offense is designed to beat traps and heavy pressure, but we've struggled in the past against this type of defense when we don't want to move the ball. This could be a 25+ three pointer game or a 9/27 Mitchell game with 7 turnovers.

All we need to do is set one pick and make at least one pass. The no pass 1v5 possessions will kill us.

In general I think Russell hurts them... but like you said he kills us for some damn reason. I will take it as a yay for us.

These guys swept us last year... right? Either way its a must win game.
 
This could be a big Rudy Gay game. Put Gay on KAT, Gobert on Vanderbilt. I bet we start out with Royce guarding KAT anyways.
 
I feel irrationally good about this game. The fact that they kicked our *** last year should put a little fire in our belly for a game that we might ordinarily look past.
 
Locke was a little bit interesting today. Basically said that Minnesota wasn't a problem for us last year, but that we randomly had bad shooting nights. Defensively we kept them under their season averages.

I guess that would depend on how we define problem. I'd say being swept is a problem, at least with something. Losing once or twice maybe you can blame on random poor shooting, but you've gotta bring something else to the table to beat a team, especially when you're getting swept by the third worst team in the conference. They'd be the second worst team in the conference if it weren't for all the freebies they won against us.

But I expect us to win tonight precisely because they swept us last year. We do a lot of incredibly dunce things to screw the pooch, but I don't think losing to Minnesota tonight will be one of them.
 
Totally off topic, but there's no personal L's thread. Today I interviewed for a senior position. Went through the interview, at the end told me it's actually a junior level. What's the point of pulling a switcheroo like that?
 
I wonder if Mike will rest tonight or tomorrow night?
 
A mad Don is a scary MF! When he gets that look in his eyes... I love it. I think it's sexy :cool:
