What's new

Game Thread Jan 19, 2022 07:00PM MT: Jazz vs. Rockets

Added to Calendar: 01-19-22

Jazz are overly dependent on flinging 3pt shots. They need a wing who can put the ball down and get on top of the rim.
Yep. We were getting wide open looks from deep all night but just couldn’t hit them. Royce and Bogey being the most guilty. Would be wise to go for 2pointers when we were clearly struggling with three balls.

Royce got burned big time by KPJr right in front of Ainge. I hope Ainge liked what he saw.

Joe looks like he’s drunk. In all fairness, he always looks that way except now he’s playing like it

Been on the record saying that these games don't matter, but you maybe Quin is coaching for his job soon. I didn't think it was possible, but there is so much collective quit from this team it's hard to ignore. New owner, new CEO, tons of pressure to win now....This is probably the most disgusting stretch of basketball I've seen in years. Except for our playoff embarrassments of course.
I may be wrong but did he let that 15-0 run happen without a timeout? Also part of the reason the offense stalled so hard is Trent Forrest doesn’t know how to offense and that’s a problem if you are a guy that needs the ball.

This team is a mess right now. I want to say this was a bit of an outlier but I’ve seen a **** ton of outliers lately. Basically any team that can go 5 out can beat us.

It feels so icky that we are looking to Danny ****ing Ainge to save us.

Quin gets fired. We trade Ingles, bogey and even my boy Clarkson. Get more proven players with versatility and a better coach and we can still make this run. But still question Don and Rudy coexisting. Maybe split them up once and for all

A couple of guys at the construction site come to see the boss.

"Boss, we have this beam, we can't get it in place. Not sure what to do."

The boss thinks for a second. "Ok guys, you won't believe this, but if you smack your head against the beam, it'll go right into place. Sounds weird but trust me, it will work."

The guys are skeptical, but hey, he's the boss. So they go and smack their head against the beam. They hit it hard, then harder. They get kind of dizzy. Finally they look at each other and go to see the boss.

"Boss, we hit our head against the beam. Hard. And a lot. I even got dizzy. The beam didn't move at all. What do we do?"

"Hmm," the boss says, rubbing his chin, looking off into the distance, deep in thought. "Here's what you need you do," he finally says.

"Go hit it harder."

Quin never should've left that lineup of Forrest/Clarkson/Bogey/Royce/Dok in so long. No wonder the Rockets went on that huge run. We never got the momentum back after that.

I truly don't understand how the Jazz are consistently so bad in close games.

Like, the only close games they win are when they choke down the stretch but the other team's late rally falls short.

There's 0 excuse for not playing EP and Hughes tonight. That's inexcusable. I'm fed up with Q, and just want to move on from him. He's a Lindsey guy, anyway. I think he's the sole reason of what's holding us back.

Royce wouldn't be starting on 29 other teams. Hughes and Paschall should be getting good minutes. Clarkson wouldn't shoot 16 shots on a lotto team.

Quin, not saying you're a bad human being or nothin, but you gots to go!
