This team really isn’t enjoyable to watch. We won but that wasn’t fun or entertaining at all. I feel bad for the fans who paid money to watch that crap.

At least Forrest wasn’t terrible tonight.

The Hate on Forrest needs to stop. He came in and really guarded Cade well. He was the only one that could keep in front of him and make him take tough pull ups without making our defense have to rotate. Forrest didn’t hurt the offense ether by being aggressive to the rim. He isn’t great but he isn’t as bad as a lot of guys on this board make him out to be.

I think jingles is showing the mileage. The long season plus Olympics have burned him out.

Some game notes

Ingles is in a slump. I think the shooting is not that lost, he will probably get it back at least on open shots. He still makes some nice plays but he rarely runs the offense and PnRs. Lots of immediate passes back without dribbling when the ball swings his way back. That has to put some pressure on Conley and Clarkson with Mitchell out.

Forrest had a nice game. He defended Cunningham extremely well. If he can consistently defend size, that's huge for him.

I don't see it with Paschall as a PnR option. He doesn't set screens you expect from a guy his size. He does most of his damage through blender and cuts and isn't as effective against bulkier opponents. He can still be a part of the small ball line-up but I think it has to be with Gay.

JC didn't force much this game. Nice change.

Gay has to be a consistent impact on the floor. He has too many ups and downs currently.

After watching Butlers performance tonight in a G-league game vs Forrests performance in an NBA game there is no question why Quin plays Forrest over Butler

I miss D-will. I always felt like we had a chance to win close games with the ball in his hands...I don't have that feeling with anyone on this team.

He was actually good tonight. But yeah… let’s see it a few more times. I think having a big that can score outside of 3 feet playing at center is helpful for him.
