Gobert locks down Doncic: Best Twitter Reactions

That’s what I was thinking. I mean what kind of guy goes on about something that happened two frickin years ago anyway. I can’t believe that I once had some respect for that guy.
A whole bunch of this is about ego and pride. Shaq and now Draymond have trashed on Rudy and even when it becomes obvious they are wrong, the double down because their pride prevents them from admitting they were wrong.

Go post about it in my thread in the site feedback forum. I've been trying to give @Jason some examples. He's trying to fix it. If you quote it you might be able to see it, that works for me.
I can never see tweets. Have to click on the link which opens a new tab on the twitter website

Yeah I think it is happening in some way to a lot of people that just aren't joining the conversation.

What’s wild is that I remember online Ben Wallace was considered really underrated in like his 5-7th years (before the Detroit championship) and everyone talked about and appreciated him so much that it was hard to say he was underrated and he’s almost universally lauded now and I don’t think I’ve ever once seen a “Ben Wallace is overrated” or “Ben Wallace isn’t good” take. The crazy thing is that even looking at raw stats comparing the two, and especially if it’s be was blinded to which player was which, people would unanimously choose Gobert. And that’s not even counting his advanced offensive stats. Everyone knows that Ben Wallace has no offense (no offense, not just limited offense), but nobody mentions that because of what he brought on the defensive end. Even if the eyeball test tells you Gobert is limited, there’s strong argument to make there on his important offensive presence.

Yeah, agreed, but it seems like there’s something more as well, I mean he’s not really part of the club is he? Rudy’s this cosmopolitan dude from Europe, I mean I doubt he even likes rap music. And let’s not rule out the jealousy factor either, bet Rudy’s a total stud muffin to the ladies. And of course he keeps gobbling up those DPOYs which has to chap Draymond’s cheeks a bit.

I watched the game in a local casino last night and people were actually clapping and shouting Gobert down the stretch. And this in Las Vegas where the Lakers/Cippers game was front and center and the Suns were getting stomped. Not sure but I think Gobert would take Draymond in a popularity contest right now.

Putin might edge Green everywhere outside of San Fran.

If we finish strong and Rudy stays healthy, he should have a decent shot at winning DPOY again.
Frankly the only thing stopping Rudy from winning it 2 or 3 more times is the media and everyone else getting bored of him winning it. He's already been robbed twice. He should have 5 right now. There will be a good old boys push to make sure Rudy doesn't get the most in history because he's not the popular choice. But the stats and the results will show Rudy is one of if not the best defender the league has ever seen.

Edges him out on blocks by a significant amount.

There's a reason. People stop going at Rudy. He turns away more drives into the paint than any player I've ever seen. They just refuse to challenge him so his opportunities for blocks diminish.

More blocks to be had in Dikembe Mutombo Era. Less spread out offense with lots of post up and more paint offense in general.
Great point, but you can only compare stats when what's presented is a list of stats.

3.2 blocks vs 2.2 blocks is kind of huge. 2.2 blocks is extremely respectable, 3.2 is up there in the elite of the elite range. Eaton had the best average ever at 3.51.

Yeah, if there was a "NOPE" stat I think Gobert would be the all-time leader in that stat and it wouldn't be close.
