Down On the Farm

A lot of American players on Russia and Eastern European teams are returning to the United States per hoops rumors including Brantley, Bolomboy and Tyler Cavanaugh.

Stars win by 4 over Iowa. Carsen Edwards with 38. Yoeli Childs with 22 and Marquis Bolden, Jared Wilson Frame and Rayvonte Rice were also in double figures. Our two way player had two points although he and Wilson Frame had late clutch baskets. The Jazz real first round pick Leandro Balmaro in 2020 had 17 points for Iowa. The pick was traded for cash and the pick for Dok.

The Stars and Carsen Edwards got some love from "Pro Exposure" for their game last night. The Stars had eight players suit up which is a luxury for them.

Break up the Stars two wins in a row over Iowa in OT. Carsen Edwards with 46 points and three players with double doubles: Jared Wilson Frame, Yoeli Childs and Marquis Bolden. Bolden the leading rebounder and Wilson Frame the leading assist guy. Our two way guy finally looked like a playa tonight with 27 points 8 boards. The Stars blocked 8 shots with Childs with 5 blocks.

I saw the Carson Edwards news on IG earlier today, thought you would be giving him a lot more love given his point explosion.

Stars lose by 10 to Austin despite leaving 18 points on the foul line with three of those misses late that would have tied the game. The two way player looked really good with 21 points. Edwards the leading scorer with 29 with Sneed and Wilson Frame with more than 20 and Wilson Frame the leading assist guy and Gerald Tarrin the leading rebounder. The Stars had six players in double figures. At least they hustled and played hard unlike a certain unnamed team tonight.

Stars lose to the Spurs by 10 again despite leading for three quarters. Stars had to play with 7 players yet again and ran out of gas. Austin suited up 12 guys. Double doubles for Xavier Sneed and Yoeli Childs. Sneed the leading rebounder, Edwards had 27 points and was the leading assist guy. Wilson Frame had 21 and Marquis Bolden was also in double figures. The Spurs two way players are much better than the Jazz two way players including Forrest. Perhaps fatigue set in for Sneed.

Stars beat the Texas Legends by six after trailing by six at the half. The Stars front line Xavier Sneed, Marquis Bolden and Yoeli Childs all had double doubles. Jared Wilson Frame was the leading scorer with 26 and Carsen Edwards had 25 and was the leading assist guy. The Legends had a lottery selection playing for them in Justin Jackson and Sneed and Wilson Frame made him look like hot garbage on both ends of the floor. The Stars had eight guys suit up and that helped with the fatigue late in the game. Childs and Bolden both looked really strong tonight.

I noticed that Dok and Butler were added to the Stars roster on their webpage. That is the first time that has happened in awhile. Also Brantley signed a GLeague contract and I don't think that automatically means he surfaces with the Stars as I think he goes into a pool. Also Isaiah Cousins former Stars and Jazz summer league player resurfaced playing with Juwan Morgan and Dezel Valentine's GLeague team and had a nice game scoring 15 points in 26 minutes and shooting a high percentage from everywhere.

Dok and Butler make a cameo with the Stars in Texas. First the good news Butler lead the team in scoring and assists and Dok had a double double with four blocks and both players were a + in the box score. Now the bad news: The Stars were down by 29 after one quarter when Dok and Butler were out there mostly. When Butler was playing the offense ground to a halt as the ball stuck. I can see why Quin doesn't trust him. This is a team that the Stars beat by six two nights earlier. Another beneficiary of the Butler show coming to town is that four players who had been putting up solid GLeague numbers were suddenly frozen out and put up horrible numbers. The Stars were down by 31 to start the 4th and a lot of Butler and Dok's numbers were put up then. The game was not close. This is not the first time Butler has shown up and turned a relatively competitive Stars team into a laughing stock. Whoever on the scouting staff recommended he be drafted ought to be getting very nervous. He appears to me to be as much of a prospect as Ellijah Hughes right now. Also Xavier Sneed is not the answer as a two way player.

Dok and Butler have been removed from the Stars roster. Dok's numbers in perhaps his last game ever: 16 points 17 rebounds 4 blocks, 2 steals and 1-1 from the foul line.

The Bad News Stars did not disappoint in a 13 point matinee loss to OKC Blue. At least they were competitive for most of the game with the difference being the guards. OKC's starting guards outscored the Stars starting guards 60-43. Carsen Edwards was the leading scorer with 27 and assister and Yoeli Childs the leading rebounder. Childs and Marquis Bolden had double doubles and Bolden looked like the McDonalds All-American which he was. Xavier Sneed had 2 points and zero rebounds and may have gooten injured or ill during the game.

Brantley is back with Greensboro 16 points 5 boards and 5 assists.
Didn't he sign a nice 7 figure deal to play overseas?

Also our former two-way player we cut because he broke his arm, Malik Fitts, signed a 2 year deal with the Celtics (next year non-guaranteed)

He did but the team was in Russia and I think every American and Canadian player has left for their own safety. I think the Jazz did Fitts dirty. The guy they signed to take his place is horrible.
