I looked it up, the most ever was the 2008 Celtics:

Teams with Most Games Played in One Playoff Run
  • 26 Games - 2008 Celtics - Won Finals 4-2
  • 25 Games - 1994 Knicks - Lost Finals 4-3
  • 25 Games - 2005 Pistons - Lost Finals 4-3
  • 24 Games - 1988 Lakers - Won Finals 4-3
  • 24 Games - 1993 Suns - Lost Finals 4-2
  • 24 Games - 2003 Spurs - Won Finals 4-2
  • 24 Games - 2009 Magic - Lost Finals 4-1
  • 24 Games - 2010 Celtics - Lost Finals 4-3
  • 24 Games - 2016 Warriors - Lost Finals 4-3
The 88 Lakers had theirs extended by 3 when we took them to 7 games.

This makes me think, I want to see a team use all 28 games just one time to win the championship.
winning game 7s all the way to a championship would make for an exciting, yet stressful for the fans, title run.

We should sit all of our top rotation guys. No need to tempt the injury gods and have someone go down in a meaningless game.
Yeah, I agree. And I'm usually not a fan of sitting guys. But there is no reason for them to play at all. At the very least any more than 10 or 15 minutes is just criminal stupidity.

I think the Jazz were faking out the league in believing that they didn't know how to close out games. Quin is brilliant.

They may not have been faking, but a little more rest, preparation and lineup tweaks could enable the Jazz to turn these meltdowns into wins. They only needed to make a few plays in the 4th quarter.

Mitchell getting right would make the difference all by itself.
