The hilarious thing is that those players are probably on our team lmao and we will be the ones selling low on them.

Yep.

Guys I'm looking at right now that are "buy low" type guys. Guys like Kuzma and Horford were last year, Wiggins the year before. Etc.

- Eric Gordon: he's kind of old (33), but he can still play pretty well on both ends. Could probably be had for cheap.
- Joe Harris: he's coming off surgery, but his shooting is amazing if he comes back 100%.
- Talen Horton-Tucker: everybody is turning their noses up on him, but he's still young and plays really hard.
- Tobias Harris: I'm not a big fan, but he's a good "buy low" candidate. Probably comes with assets.
- Kevin Love: he played in 74 games last year averaging 13.4ppg and 7.2rpg in just 22mpg. Small ball 5 option?
- LeVert: we've talked about him a bunch. He's like Clarkson, but his stock is low right now.
- Lonzo Ball: if Chicago is worried about his health and want to go in a different direction...
- Devonte Graham: he's not excellent, but he's a decent player.
- Larry Nance: I think he could be one of those useful guys in a 5 out roster where everyone can switch
- Capela: he's coming off injury, but he's still useful. Could be a poor man's Gobert so we can get value elsewhere?
- Kevin Knox: he's got the physical attributes. Is he just a late bloomer?
- Olynyk: doesn't have great value right now but I think he could be part of a big man rotation.
- Zach Collins: seems like he's always injured. If he can get past that, he could be a small ball 5.
- Julius Randle: the guy had a great 20-21 season. NY sucked in 21-22, but he still has talent
- Gordon Hayward: I hate the idea, but he is a good "buy low" candidate


Not all of these guys above are perfect fits for us, but some could be. Most of them should be relatively cheap to get.
We are so incredibly thin that we need to get the best value we can.

Nah, when I said the Book/Memo signing I was really trying to describe guys that are up and coming but were really undervalued at the time. Current borderline starter/high-end backup who has all the potential to be a star in the league.

Like Miles Bridges who finished the jump this year. Or James Harden who was a sixth man for OKC before arriving in Houston. Or TMac in his Toronto years. Or J.O‘neal when he was with the Blazers.

Love/Gordon/Harris don't fit this narrative because their best basketball seasons are already behind them, not ahead of them.

I'm thinking more of guys like PJ Washington, Brandon Clarke, Cam Reddish, Devin Vassell, Mo Bamba, etc. Guys that have shown some promise but have yet to realize their full potential due to their limited PT/role
 
I had a dream that I was playing in the finals last night. I had 17 points and 8 rebounds and shot 11/17. I know that doesn’t make sense, but I was pretty proud of having my name in a finals box score.

I really miss teams executing plays and valuing possessions. I’m really getting tired of everyone playing for the 3. The game has devolved into 1-3 players running the P&R to get 3s while the 5 just sets picks and collects lobs as fast as they can. It’s really why I enjoyed the Suns as they could go for 3, get the mid range, and post up/lob. For some reason they crashed and burned against the Mavs.

I miss the old Jslo offense with Memo and Boozer. That had a terrific mix of shooting, cuts, and post ups. Every possession was a good look. While 90 % of the current Jazz/NBA teams possessions’ are badly rushed shots they can get at any point of the game.

I do think the NBA needs to do something but I’m unclear what the solution is. It’s hella boring though (at least to me) to watch most games now. They’re mostly fast paced high scoring affairs where the team that chucks up the most 3s the fastest, wins. It just doesn’t seem as cerebral as it used to be.
