Predict the Rudy Gobert trade

5-6 years ago nobody wanted to trade Hayward because they were afraid what we would turn into without him.

Now we have a player better than Hayward, and we want to trade him so we can tank.

This fanbase is all over the place. Reality is that teams don't trade guys like Donovan when they are 25. Dame stays. Curry stays (remember people argued trading him back when he was about Don's age), Beal stays.

Teams tank when they are close to rock bottom anyway. We are nowhere near rock bottom.

Trading our TWO ALL STARS and even our career achievement ALL STAR and Bojan to tank is ridiculous.

We need a better coach who coaches modern day basketball. We could keep Don and Rudy or trade Rudy. Going scorched earth is dumb. There is zero reason to do that at this time.

Do you think Donovan's horrible defense is the result of bad coaching?

Probably due to a stupid system which has taught him to let perimeter players funnel to Rudy.

He has defended fine before and he will again. I look forward to playing modern day basketball again.

My bigger question is is there any chance Quin falls off the wagon and goes on a 72 hour bender with hookers and coke.

You just say things and they just flat out arent true… teams tank or bottom out in many ways and many of them are no where near rock bottom at all.

That’s like saying Donovan prefers iso to pick and roll.

We should trade Rudy regardless of anything else. Now is the time. He will only get older and that contract will only get worse. We can’t pay someone like that when they don’t have the same impact as other guys getting paid the same amount.

I’m not a fan of tanking either. So many teams have been in the lottery for the last decade. I don’t want to become one of them.

Show me the list of teams that have been in the lottery for a decade and tell me which ones were “tanking”. Then I’ll show you the list of teams that have made the conference finals by tearing it down and bottoming out and we can see who has the longer list.

Because I don't want to sell out, cash in all our assets for unproven picks and intentionally lose.

I have some pride man

The Spurs are a prideful team… when built on tanking they won like 4 titles… when not bottoming out because of pride they are stuck in the middle with one borderline AS.

You can have pride and be intelligent… they aren’t antonyms

We’re fans. We’ll be here whether they tank or they’re good. Pride ain’t got **** to do with it. Have pride? Lol, so we can talk mad **** to online strangers? Pride doesn’t matter at all for fans. Just win baby, even if you have to lose to win.

They tanked one year and hit a generational talent in Duncan lol. Hardly the rule more like a once in a blue moon exception.

GS didn't tank until they had already drafted Curry and Klay.

Boston never really tanked. They just were awful then drafted well.

San Antonio tanked one time but only because they had major injuries.

Nobody has traded away good players to tank then turned that into some success story.

Holy **** this is wrong wrong wrong. Boston literally trade all stars to rebuild and were fortunate enough they didn’t have to tank for years cuz the picks they got by trading said all stars hit.

GS has tanked… multiple times. Warriors opted to let Baron walk and rebuild… allowed them to draft Steph… they tanked in the Barnes year… they tanked two years ago but ****ed up the pick… their culture is going just fine.

SA got Duncan by tanking blatantly… they got Robinson by being bad… that’s two number 1 picks and 4 titles.

If you hit when you tank you don’t have to keep tanking. You also don’t have to intentionally lose if you acquire other teams draft assets… it can be a short bottom out.

It’s almost the only way a non-glamour market can win at the highest levels and y’all are like “that winning titles **** is for losers… “
