Do you really want Josh Howard??

Jeff McDonald: Hearing it is unlikely Josh Howard gets the full $5 million mid-level from anyone. Twitter

At less than the full mid-level, I'm ok with signing the guy.

1) It's not news that he won't be getting the MLE.
2) There is NO WAY the Jazz would spend that on Josh Howard.

But then again, I didn't think it possible for them to be interested at all.

I don't want the Jazz to overspend on Howard. I would rather that they find some young talent if there is going to be a bidding war for Howard. How about Blake Griffin's brother is he available?

EVeryone deals with different situations in any number of ways. Let's say someone kill both your parents then hands you a million dollars. Is the million dollars enough for you to ignore what happened to your parents? NO one handed any athlete millions of dollars they earned it. Now if Howard doesn't feel a jump out of his shoes patriotism to a country that treated his ancestors as dogs. I think that he is justified.

Hmm. Is the million dollars negotiable?

I kid.

I don't want Howard. No. There is no place for him, his potential contribution is sketchy at best, his attitude issues alone are enough to steer clear, he looks funny, he has gingivitis, he dissed America, he may be an alien symbiont, I once heard he kicked a puppy - twice. Ok that's enough. No way.

If KOC is the CJ Miles of GMs what does that make you? Blake Griffin's brother as a young talent:eek:

I heard the second kick was actually a Hulk Hogan leg drop.

I've come around to where I'm now hopeful we get him (at the right price/years of course.)

The obvious downside to Howard is it most likely puts Burks out of the rotation. But I can see Ty thinking that a little watch and learn at the beginning of his career might be good for him. And it may well be that Howard is the guy sitting at first until he can get up to speed on the offense.

The thing is, I think we're going to see a lot more injuries/fatigue this year. No way does Hayward/CJ/Bell/Burks all make it through the season without at least one getting hurt. So Burks' minutes will come whether it's by injury or (hopefully) he can beat somebody out.
