Will Hardy expected to be hired as head coach

KG isn't a center. Sorry if I wasn't more specific.

Sure, he can play center in the playoffs, but that's because he's a PF with the athleticism and size enough to play both positions.
In today's NBA he'd be primarily a center, but I understand. I think his calling card on those Boston teams was rim protection and defense. He could hit the 18 footer and spent a little time in the post too.

I think if Ainge had his preference he'd get a rangy pf to put alongside Rudy. I don't think he is anti big man, but he'd want guys in the 2-4 spots to be long athletic wings (most nba gms would of course).

We will see what he does. The Ingles deal was his first trade but it was really a money decision... Hardy was his first real move. We will see in a few days what part of his vision for the roster is.

Tony Jones on ESPN 700 said he's hearing that Alex Jensen and the rest of the assistants most likely won't be retained, says Hardy will likely bring in his own staff.

Tony also said Hardy blew the Jazz away in the interview process and separated himself from the rest of the field very quickly. Hardy has a clear vision of what he wants the roster to look like both now and going forward structurally, also has a clear vision of what he wants his system around Donovan to look like.

If they aren't trading Rudy this is a bold move. Alex is kinda the Rudy whisperer from what I hear from McMahon and others.

Spoelstra also had/has Pat Riley. And LeBron. He had a big learning curve and developed. An atypical situation in a lot of ways.
