Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

That is what I am wondering. The guy is a really good young player and if we are keeping Mitchell I think he is an excellent fit with him in the pick and roll. I also think he still has quite a bit of upside offensively.

I personally think Ayton is overrated. But for what’s been discussed….it’s a no brainer. He’s got flaws but he’s worth Bogey and a mid 20’s first round pick. We just traded Royce for that lol.

He’s a RFA. They don’t want him. We really might not have to offer much. Like 2/40 maybe? And that’s it. Our involvement in a three-way is what the Suns and Nets need more than anything.
Then that sounds like an opportunity. This is just the first time I’m hearing these kinds of offers for Ayton.

The picks are the only relevant thing here.

Have no fear of Fournier and Randle. Each of those could be flipped as needed; doubt they impact the tank command here.
Randle is the worst contract in the league. Well, all of the crazy extensions and the unforeseen notwithstanding.

I’ve been that guy who’s always said Ayton is kinda overrated….but we’re getting crazy when saying he might have been out of the league haha.

Ayton was able to punish the Clippers' lineups in ways Rudy couldn't. He also gave the Suns and advantage over the Warriors there for a while. He's not an All Star, but he's a functional starting center.

This is my feeling. Only the right play if it’s so cheap you can’t say no.

PHX wants to move him. They may need to move him to get Kevin Durant. He can only bring back 50% of his new salary on a new deal due to the BYC rule. Jazz can get him at below market value if they want him. It might cost Bogdanovic and a protected 1st.

I think all of us realize that Mitchell is a good player, with a lot of flaws, namely defense.

His attitude has gotten really bad, and it’s fairly obvious he won’t re-sign with the Jazz in the future. Might as well trade him for some big chips while the value is high.

I think we gotta see if teams like the Magic would trade for him. I don’t love Banchero but Banchero and two 1sts might be possible and might be a good move for them. Or some other lesser player and three firsts.

I’d much rather do a trade with a team like them and get 2-3 1sts than the Knicks and get four and have to take on those crappy contracts and worry about the Knicks winning 45-50 games.

The Magic and Thunder are the two teams who might do it based on trajectory who could still be super ****** even with Don.

If the Jazz were able to get Ayton for Bogie and a low first. Able to extend Ayton at the lower price and then trade DM for 4 unprotect first and a young player. I would be all in. Jazz would be a youthful, athletic long team. I would love to get RJ but maybe Reddish and Quickley plus the picks.

I agree but I think both are committed to their tanking process.

I like the trade but too many picks. I don' think NY would be that dumb. I would love Detroit's and Washington's 2023 unprotected. and NY 2025 unprotected. NY 2029 top 5 protected. I would jump for joy if that happened.
Yeah, I would say 5 picks overall plus Toppin/Redish w/ whatever filler they want to include.

The magic aren't trading Banchero. I love the idea of working with the magic though. I'm a big Suggs fan so something built around Suggs, Isaac and future 1sts interests me.
