Jazz and Knicks discussing Donovan Mitchell trade per Shams Charania and Tony Jones

He has long arms and spider is used for defensive players that gets steals(much more in soccer). He also likes Spider-man but I don't think it was self-given.
Thanks. I will say, if it is for a defensive player who gets steals he is NOT living up to his namesake.

That's why I'm guessing FM gave his own opinion about what the Jazz's desires are: because this twitter's guy's opinion is no more valid than any one of ours. Is that right @Ferguson_Mellochill ?

This 'twitter guy' claims to have sources and has a number of posts about the Jazz/Knicks trade. What he's posting is consistent with other reports from multiple sources, like Shams, TJ, Fred Katz, etc. So I don't know what you're trying to get at.

Multiple parties, including Tony Jones, have reported that the Jazz want Grimes in the deal as a priority. If you don't like what I posted, feel free to ignore it.

Or go ahead and yap about it, and I'll just ignore you.

Not if they're holding out for Grimes. Or maybe a deal like this will go through sooner or later, depending on what other moves are connected to it.

Lol I can promise you Danny Ainge would not give a flying **** who was in the deal if Leon Rose called him up offering 7 1sts.

The most 1sts ever traded in a single deal was 5 1sts and 2 pick swaps for Paul George which was essentially Paul George AND Kawhi Leonard.

We’re talking 7 ****ing 1sts and Quentin Grimes is holding up the deal? You seriously can’t believe that.

Woj & Shams (or others) have reported that the Knicks have offered 7 picks (including 3 unprotected?) You likely pay more attention to this than I do, but I don't remember that.

I do owe you an apology for my first comment, though. I misread it and thought that the twitter guy was saying what the Jazz wanted, not what the Knicks offered. So my comment makes no sense. I had thought that you were saying what you think the Jazz wanted immediately after saying what the twitter guy says the Jazz wanted. I'm sorry. I'm getting too snarky waiting for something to happen.

*ring ring*

Ainge: Hello?

Rose: Hey Danny, I have an updated offer for you. I think you’re going to like it.

Ainge: Let’s hear it.

Rose: 7 1st round picks and…

Ainge: We will do it send us the paperwork and let’s get this taken care of. Nice doing business with you.

Rose: Don’t you want to hear the rest of the offer?

Ainge: No, you’re a good man Leon, just make the salary match and I’ll sign off on it.

Rose: Consider it done.

Rose then looks around the room to collective cheers and high fives. We kept Grimes!!! Take that you ************!!!

There's no way the hold-up is on Grimes. They would have Donovan and Brunson starting in the front court. Where would Grimes play then? 10-15 off the bench? I'm sure Grimes would ASK to be traded to Utah to start

My sources indicate that the Jazz should just do the damn deal if they get 23/25/27 unprotected, the Mavs’ 2023, four swaps, and matching salary.

I have reported on things that track with Woj, Shams, and TJ.

Four of those FRPs are probably the non-Knicks picks with protections. One of them may never convey, and the rest are likely to be in the teens or 20s. If you believe David Locke, the Jazz are probably asking for 4 Knicks picks all unprotected. If you believe Tony Jones, the Jazz also really want Grimes in the deal.

All we can try to do is piece together what's happening based on various reports. The Tommy Dee guy, who wouldn't have any value other than his report being somewhat aligned with Patrick Kinahan, suggested that Grimes was in the Knicks' offer. So it's not clear what the Knicks latest offer really is. In any case, Ainge is obviously asking for the moon and doesn't appear to be in a rush.

If my posts aren't relevant enough for you, let me add that I'm thinking about getting a chicken sandwich as a late lunch.

My sources indicate the Jazz will likely make a Donovan deal around training camp as that is around the time the Wolves players can be aggregated and the last point that there is no opportunity cost in continuing to hold out.

The Jazz will be in the thick of a deal to acquire former MVP Russell Westbrook along with picks should the Lakers do such a deal, my sources are reporting.

Players from the Wolves will need to be in such a deal, and players from a Mitchell-suitor could also be in the deal but would have to be part of a three team in order to be aggregated. Per sources.

The Jazz shopping Mitchell is consistent with other reports from Woj/Shams/TJ, so I am inclined to believe all of this.
