Official Utah/Minnesota/Philadelphia Pick Watch

Wolves played pretty well… we need some more demoralizing losses for them.

It's beautiful trend now. TWolves are losing and we have few hungry talented teams chasing playoffs.
But when KAT is back the treng could be over.

The whole Gobert experience in Minny makes me question if kids coming out of the college these days can play with a classic defensive center build? There is no doubt those guys can improve your defense but if they are not utilized on offense can they still have a positive net impact?

Also the whole "everyone needs to be able to shoot 3s" movement seems to put so much more emphasis on perimeter defense, that the big guy in the paint cannot impact the game the way they used to. They also need to be able to close out, so they cannot hang out as deep as they used to. Makes me think a good offensive toolkit is not only preferred... but becoming a must have for centers as well.

This is why I cringed when we gave him that huge contract. To pay a player that much money who has no offensive game is madness. Glad we got out of that one.

Rudy does us a number by fouling with 4 seconds left lol
Yeah but let’s be fair here. If he doesn’t step in the way and stop that runaway freight train that is Zion, it’s an absolute sure two point for the Pels. Rudy made the right play and made him earn them at the stripe. It was Edwards that missed the game winner on the other end.

Pelicans hand the Wolves their 4th loss in a row. Wolves now 3 games under .500
They are 3 of their last 10 to boot. Its really tough to feel good about moral victories with that many losses racked up. Especially when a tweet like 0-7 with gobert goes out.

Music to my ears.

If the Lakers and / or thunder pass Minny, it will be a Christmas miracle.

The Jazz FO should call the Wolves FO and say: "If you want to upgrade Gobert, we're willing to trade Kessler for him if you include four 1sts, a pick swap and some rotation players. "

There would be a silence on the line before the Wolves GM began a profanity-laced tirade followed by sobbing.

One thing is… what can they even do about it? What can they trade that makes them better this year? I don’t think they drop below where they are. I also can’t see them making a giant jump. I’m hoping the best they can muster is being in the 9/10 spot in the west and facing two win now or go home games…. At least one of which is on the road.

10/11 is kinda best case scenario without a catastrophic injury. Especially if we slide out of the play in… which I’m not sure happens… because of our position and theirs I think we end up having like the 11th pick and the 14th pick… throw a dart on which pick is our or the wolves.
