Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

The truly hilarious part is that if the Lakers are as awful as projected there's a fantastic chance the Blazers just got 5x the value for GP2 that we got for Conley/Beasley/Vanderbilt.

But don't take my word for it. Even the Utah Jazz subreddit which is a bastion for super optimistic/homerism takes universally hates this trade.
I mean if that pick has a 52% chance at being in the top 4 then guess what? There is like a 48% chance its 5-8... which one of the second round picks traded today has that ability?

How anyone can watch how the deadline played out and think we didn't get enough is just something else.

I remember MT Steve arguing with everyone that getting down to 6th-8th was statically impossible and we are idiots for thinking so. I just looked up and we have 26 games to go and we are 2 games out of 6th.

I know you don’t really understand how anything works since I had to breakdown the salary cap for you yesterday.
Elizah's "breaking down the salary cap for me" was explaining how we would still be out of the luxury tax anyways next year because we could've just let Beasley and Conley walk for nothing instead of trading them now for little value.

This was in response to me saying one big motivator for the trade was so Ryan could get out of the luxury tax.

He literally argued for my point without even realizing it.

You also conveniently forgot the part where I said this was barring the Jazz going scorched earth with trades, which they just did.

Danny intentionally did the Lakers move because Silver threw some lottery promises into the deal.

Doubt there was much trade interest in Conley, Beasley, etc in August. We rehabbed their value.
What?

Beasley, for instance, hasn't shot this poorly from the perimeter since 2017 and all his important advanced stats are down from last year. He's had a bad season.

Rehabbed my a**. Ainge sold low on him.

Most thought we were going to have to attach assets to get Conley's contract off of our books.

Yes, because we saw so many firsts moved today. Eric Gordon and Luke Kennard were both moved for seconds.
the jazz traded four rotation players for a pick that could ultimately be a second round selection. if you don't think they couldn't have gotten that in October for those same players, you're up in the night. hell, if anything your point about firsts being so hard to get right now adds credence to the idea that they could have gotten more 4 months ago.

My guess is DA was asking a lot for KO to the Celtics, which is why the Celtics instead traded for a different shooting big man like Mike Muscala.

Dude stop making **** up. I literally have proof right here:

We're 5 games ahead of the 5th worst team, and will be better than them even if we trade Conley/Clarkson.

It's too late to tank.

6-8 range is typically around 30 wins.

We're not gonna finish 20-46. Even if we sell off Conley and Clarkson for nothing, like, today, with the sheer volume of tanking teams on our schedule, there's just no way.

Again shut up and stop ****ing crying. You act like you know what you’re talking about but you don’t.

Or it could be the 5th pick in the draft, we'll have to wait and see.

First off, calm down a little. You sound like a psychopath.

Secondly, did we trade Conley/Clarkson, or did we trade Conley/Beasley/Vando?
