Lakers made it a game. LeBron should have drove it instead of shooting that three though. I think they steal Game 2.

The players the Lakers got in the Jazz trade combined for a total of 8 points on 11 shots and D'Lo was a team low -25 (like by an insane margin)
dlo sucks. he's been so overrated in the last few weeks. AD's health, lebron back in the linuep, westbrook's absence, reaves continued rise and rui are the reason the lakers are where they are. the other trade pieces are wildly overrated.

Yeah, D'Lo is a pretty big negative on D and his offense isnt consistent enough to offset that.

I think people overrate the impact of the players the Lakers brought it and underrate the impact of Westbrook no longer being there to light 20 possessions per game on fire.
Yep. The biggest part of that entire trade was the lakers getting rid of westbrook imo.

Which they could have just done by cutting him, but

The other players have helped them a lot. But they have such big holes that they sometimes are unplayable.

Is there no penalty to just cutting a guy? If not, why dont teams cut guys all the time rather than attach draft picks to bad contracts to get other teams to take them off their hands? I have heard about a team (miami or dallas i think) wanting off duncan robinsons contract and hearing the jazz should take him off their hands if we get a pick with him or something. Why dont they just cut him?

You can easily just cut players, but you're stuck with the contract. Both the actual money and the cap hit.
