Received at 12:14 pm pacific time on 7/10/23. I will have my pick in at 12:13 pm on 7/11/23. Maybe a bit earlier as I have an appointment at noon tomorrow.

There’s no rush, but these rules are in place because we want to enjoy the process. Have you enjoyed waiting 24 hours. Because of the wait we aren’t getting any kind of basketball discussion and nostalgia from the glory days reminiscing. Also it’s in the rules I posted before this started.

Nah no one looks at that. The voting for this is first and foremost a popularity contest. 2nd it is driven HEAVILY by recency bias, i.e. modern players are viewed as being orders of magnitude better than "legacy" players, hence why people think Larry Bird was barely as good as any modern SF/PF who can shoot, like, oh I don't know, Brandon Ingram or the like. And I am certain many here view Jayson Tatum as leagues better than Larry Bird, which is patently ridiculous. And lastly, Jazz affiliation, although with his recent hijinks Stockton's stock may have dropped some, but still the Jazz nostalgia factor tends to weigh heavily in the voting. As long as you keep these things in mind you can maybe put together a team the lemmings will vote for. But it better not be just the best team you think can compete, it better have these factors if you want to win this thing. Every team that has won in the past fits at least 2/3 of this mold.

There's a rule to prevent that.

3. If I see you on line while you are on the clock but leave without picking I’ll auto pick you on the spot if it’s been 2 hours or more since you’ve been on line unless you post a quick message saying about when you can get to it.
