Lets talk about these crazy organisms we call Women.

If I remember right there were 2 rapes there. One was a rape but the girl wasn't beaten to the point of death.

the one which I think everyone is talking about is the one where that guy had like... Robbed a store in the Riverwoods... Then he raped the girl on the trail in the Branbury and smashed her face in with a rock. She barely..... Barely... Survived. She crawled back onto the trail bleeding all over and luckily someone found her. I think she lost sight in one of her eyes, face needed facial reconstructive surgeries, and some of her teeth had been lost.

Dude got life in prison... But...

Doctors testified that the beating had closed her airways and nearly killed her. She said she now experiences permanent double vision, has lost numerous teeth and has developed a heart condition.

I put it in this old thread because I felt this was the best place for it. The research above was recent, and of European women but the phenomenon isn't new or confined to Europe. Here is an older article from Jezabel, an outlet with a notably anti-GOP bias, and they too were pointing out how conservative women were more attractive. The Jezabel author pointed to a study out of UCLA that backed up the general idea that on-average, smoking hot girls are more likely to be conservative.

@Red has gone on for years about his search to find some genetic marker to explain why some are conservative while others are liberal, and this may actually back that idea up. The most plausible hypothesis I've read hold that our society is kinder to pretty people. The concept is called "pretty privilege". The thinking was that pretty people like the way the world treats them and so want to conserve that while the more unfortunate looking ladies aren't as happy with their lot and so want to change things.

You don't understand. Women are supposed to be pretty to please men, because pleasing men is important. It does not matter if a man's figure pleases a woman.

My wife and I were discussing this recently actually. There is a weird dichotomy we have noticed in general, and of course being entirely anecdotal it is completely and fully scientifically sound. We talked about how often we notice an attractive man with an unattractive woman and vice versa. It seems like opposites really do attract. We counted at a Sam's Club and later at a Target and came up with easily 2/3 are mis-matched in terms of attractiveness and only maybe a third were basically equal. Hell in my own relationship she is the attractive one and I am the fat ugly bald guy. Weird, right? I guess when you get 2 attractive people together they tend to capitalize on that and become famous or something.
