2023 annual Jazzfanz all time NBA draft

He peaked at a pretty meh level at age 22 where he put up fun stats on a bad team. There are a 100 other players way better than him that actually helped good teams go much further. When he was the lead guy we did nothing, when he was the 3rd/4th guy he was pretty useless. His only good traits were as a help defender and flailing hard when he got near the rim and hope the refs bailed him out. He had a completely broken shot. I doubt if another teams board does their top 500 NBA players he comes up. His peak year was poor percentage shooting 16 points, 8 boards, and 3 assists.
A team experts thought wouldn’t win 10 games, Matt Harpring was injured most that year. He was the best player on a way overachieving team that had a winning record. Lmao

With Towns being a mediocre defender I wanted to pair him with an elite defender up front.

Jaren Jackson Jr 2022-23 season
2023 Defensive player of the year
18.6pts
6.8rbs
3blks
1stl
50.6%fg
35.5% 3pt
78.8% ft

I considered him with my Sabonis pick, but thought I could get him next round. Really good pick

Eh, if we're trying to win this particular contest, by you're own admission it's not a waste. Because Jazz fans are voting and Jazz fans will think of him more highly than a random NBA fan. I also think he's much more useful in general than you seem to think, even if there are dudes I still would take above him.

I'll be sure to use my full allotted time if I need to do more research next time to avoid offending anyone.
It is so strange that he would have an issue with your AK pick. He was going to be my next pick. That version of AK was ultimate glue guy type that is perfect for this type of thing.

I was all set to take Peja with this pick but now I'm switching things up big time. I know this guy isn't thought of highly on this board but I think offensively he is insanely skilled and I can put the defensive pieces around him to offset that weakness.

Karl Anthony Towns 21-22 season

24.6pts
9.8rbs
3.6asts
1.1blks
1stl
53%fg
41% 3pt

As much as I like the Jaren Jackson pick. I hate the KAT pick Eve more

Yep. That team was expected to be one of the worst teams ever and he carried them to being decent.

I feel like a lot of the posters on this board have an irrational dislike of KAT. He has his flaws but he is one of the most skilled offensive big men ever.
Skilled yes but so lackluster like he doesn’t like basketball. He’s so skilled he should be a perennial allstar but he’s not.

He is a perennial all star but he has had some injury issues a few years. He made the all star game in 18 and 19. In 2020 he was playing at an all star level but got injured 25 games in and missed a big stretch which took him out of the all star conversation. The same thing happened in 2021 when he missed 20 games to start the season. Then in 2022 he was healthy and made the all star team again. Last year we all know he was injured early in the season. When he is healthy he is 100% an all star and it is way too early to write him off as not a future Hall of Famer. I would put my money on him making the HOF since basketball is much less stringent with the process.

Blake Griffin

I'm coming for your head. The two greatest in-game dunkers ever plus spacing and Steve Nash (and Lebron, of course). I'm using 2016-2017 because he was still in his athletic prime but he started showing his ability to shoot the 3 also.
