Classic Sepanol backtracking and talking out of both sides of his mouth.
In the offseason Al Jefferson was persona non grata. There was no way he could be a productive starter on a competitive team. He was selfish, fat, stupid, lazy, a man who could not possibly, ever, play help defense. There was no way he could improve on the game we saw from him last year, which of course was awful according to a very confident contingent of Jazz fans.
He (and maybe Sap too) had to go in order to make room for the young blood who were badly in need of being guaranteed starter minutes.
He just COULD NOT get any better right? Guys as old as this fat *** can never learn. Yet here's Sepanol admitting the guy is having some great games. "Playing like and All-Star", in fact. Hmm. Well, the only thing left to do is raise the bar. Now Jefferson sucks because he won't look like a "Superstar" in the playoffs. Oh, yea, also we are right back to July saying that even though he's better than last year he can't possibly show any MORE improvement
Now the weird part of all this is the conclusion that both Favors AND the holy of holies himself, the Big Turkey, probably should be coming off the bench behind this colossal failure of a player. No to mention wrapping all this up in a thin veil of "reasonableness". Things are going all right? How can that be when Al Jefferson is such a terrible anchor on a team? Why should your boy play behind him if there is no possibility of Al improving (more)? How is Corbin instilling this fantastic team defense when the highest paid man is lazy, incompetent, selfish, stupid, etc?
It doesn't add up to you being right about AJ. In fact the opposite is true. Just the other day you accused him of only having one good game. Now he's playing like an All Star some of the time. What's next? Oh, yea. Next it's going to be "don't trust him for the playoffs".
LOL!
You either have comprehension problem or you didnt read any of my posts in off season. I never said Big Al is a complete junk. Last season he had games like this too, but he wasnt consistent. Well it depends on what you mean with all star, Boozer and Memo was allstars too. But Big Al for me isnt a player of his salary. Does anyone realize that he is getting paid twice as millsap but contributing less?
I never said anything bad about millsap and i always supported him, you add 'maybe Sap too' without knowing any **** just making things look more exaggarated and get more supporters in this case. Also i never said in a competitive team, i said in a contender. Big Al never will be a productive starter on a contender, or do you think we are already contenders?
I never backtrack and talking out of both sides, i am always totally against your opinions because they dont make sense. Only thing i would step back is, i was supporting Favors and Kanter to get major mins in off season, but now i think it may be better for their development to get less mins.
For me Big Al is never a smart player who produces parallel to his talent. In last few games, maybe Ty hit on his head with a big metal bar and he realized he has to pass at times, so he is doing it, but he still makes bad decisions, he thinks he is Nowitzki and shooting everything he gets the ball in mid range, you cant say he made improvement just looking at 1-2 games, he has to show same signs in longer time. But since you pursue every opportunity that Big Al plays good so you can write something to silence me, thats really stupid. I watched the game yesterday, he didnt play good, 4-14 is not an allstar number you know, just because he gave couple of back door passes, he helped the team, and his stupid brain doesnt take it he has to play it smart, because if you dont play smart, then your talent doesnt mean anything. Miles is same as him, he has talent but dont know how to use him.
Honestly, i dont think Big Al will be anything special ever, he looks good right now because everyone is playing good, and Kanter will be much better than Big Al in a few years, thats for sure, but still, i wouldnt mind seeing him until the end of the season, i am not on the trade him immediately wagon, just it is really funny that guys like you turn around 180 degree after each game.
