From the comments section: I always knew that Trump voters would not listen to a democrat telling them the obvious... but I honestly thought they might start listening to former Trump loyalists (fellow Republicans). I was wrong... because that's how cults work. Anyone who stands up to the cult leader is ostracized, banished, vilified ruined. We keep waiting for Trump to do something we think that nobody in their right mind would be ok with, then the problem would solve itself... but that doesn't happen. But dude, do you remember how cheap gas was though? I didn't get to buy a lot of it because the entire world had shut down, so I didn't drive much, but I'm pretty sure the reason it was so cheap was because Trump did a deal or something. Did you know he is a businessman?

Donald Trump Charges Questioned After AOC Declares RICO 'Not a Crime'​


During the exchange, Ocasio-Cortez asked Bobulinski to specifically name crimes he witnessed Biden commit, "Is it your testimony today that you personally witnessed President Joe Biden commit a crime?"

In response, Bobulinksi said, "Yes...You asked me to answer the question, I answered the question, RICO, you're obviously not familiar with, corruption."

However, before Bobulinksi could continue, Ocasio-Cortez interjected by stating, "Excuse me, sir, RICO is not a crime, it is a category. What is the crime?"

Newsweek has reached out to Ocasio-Cortez's office via email for comment.

Since Ocasio-Cortez's comments, some have taken to X, formerly Twitter, to point out Trump's RICO charges in Georgia.

Trump and 18 co-defendants were indicted by a Georgia grand jury in August and face criminal racketeering charges for allegedly attempting to overturn the state's electoral results in the 2020 election won by Biden. Trump, the presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee, has pleaded not guilty to all 13 charges against him and has repeatedly said the case is part of a political witch hunt.

I'm seeing that there is a lot of oxygen given to trolls around here. I know I've done it, but I really try not to once I realize who the trolls are. It seems like some posters are like troll medics who realize no one is responding to the trolls so they run over and give them a revive with a mega dose of oxygen so that they can keep on trolling. Are they, people like One Brow, doing it on purpose?

I'll let OB speak for himself but he has said in the past he does it for those who might listen to the troll and harbor some of the same thoughts. Speaking truth to falsehoods so to speak, or something to that effect. I've decided that it's better to starve the troll of attention rather than feed them in any way. To each their own I guess. I have the trolls largely on ignore but at this point maybe 70% or more of the interactions in GD center around troll responses in one way or another so there isn't much choice if one wants to participate in the discussions at all. I am somewhat disappointed that we don't really have any right wing folks who can help provide a counterpoint, although there are a couple like @Bucknutz , but otherwise the trolls hold sway on the edge of the lunatic fringe.
