The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

We spent so much investment into Rudy’s backup when realistically that is the roster spot we should have cared the least about.

Zubac punishing Gafford early on basic post-ups and no one is helping. 2 fouls. The future Edey playbook.

One of the funniest things about the last year of the Jazz was how much some people capped for Paschall to play more and he was out of the NBA the next season when a sizeable minority thought he was the answer to the Jazz's problems.

We did a lot of strange **** at the end of the Don/Rudy days. You mentioned McDaniels. Hindsight is 20/20, but I think 100% of this forum and fans in general wanted Jaden or Bane. Nobody wanted another C after we had committed so much to that position.

lol Thriller argued with me vociferously about how the Doke pick was smart. So you can’t say everyone was on board. But yeah it didn’t take a genius to see how dumb that move was.
I also don’t want to let it go that people really thought Rudy Gay, in place of Rudy Gobert at the 5, was going to be our saving grace. Old *** Rudy Gay with those traffic cones. What a joke. That concluded our run of MLE signings that went Ed Davis - Favors - Gay. What a pathetic run of signings lol.

People will have different opinions on Don and Rudy, but there’s no mistaking the fact that as a franchise we just totally boofed it.

If the NBA officiates the league like they are the playoffs then having a dude like Edey would be a good thing.

The idea of Paschal was in fact the answer to our problems, and was personified by Desmond Bane but we had Doke waaaaaaay up there on our draft board.
A screw up so humongous as to cost DL his job after the grand slam hits of Don & Rudy.

This was my last season as a lifelong Jazz fan as health issues will erase me from the fan rolls before preseason 2024
I go back far enough to have been blue-collar outraged when Malone was making $300k/year.

It sucks to go out this way.
"I would like to have seen Montana" is the movie line that would seems especially fitting .
I hope for the rest of you that one day the promise of a chit next year come to fruition.

My bet would be Wemby will have something to say about that.

That’s tough. But I have bad news for you… even in death you are not removed from the scrolls. Best of luck and hope you enjoy the time you have left. All the good vibes go your way.

Wild to remember Lillard use to be a threat to posterize Gobert and now he can't dunk on contested breaks.

Beverly dominated Haliburton all the way to the rim. Haliburton got crowned too early. Too soft. Too many podcast appearances.
