What's new

I'm Back: Toronto Raptors at Utah Jazz Wednesday, January 25th - 7 PM

So this is how the game went tonight. Wow Harris is amazing. Harris sits for most of the second lose a double digit lead, Harris comes back in we get the lead back, fans are saying Calderon who? Then Harris can't hit a foul shot in overtime, fans want to trade Harris for Calderon. The more things change, new players new coach, the more things stay the same Kleiza is still killing the jazz!

Game in Review:

Millsap did okay at the PF
Favors did okay, not great at the C
Harris had a good first quarter

Bell, Hayward, Kanter, Howard, Miles: did not show reliable offense. Bell still disappears.

Jazz team D did okay and made Toronto hit some long, contested jumpers.
Bell did pretty well keeping Barbosa in check.

Neither Miles nor Hayward look like a starting SF in the league right now.

Calderone hit 2/7 on 3-pters, but both were clutch.
Kleiza was on fire in the 4th and OTs.
James Johnson and Amir Johnson are solid defensive players.

Hats off to Paul who is the only reason we got to OT. And then to the 2nd one. The guy is on a mission and he just keeps looking better.

Note to Ty: If Toronto is throwing everybody at Sap, you have to have at least one wing on the floor who can create a little offense. Hayward and Bell are not those wings.

I look forward to Locke's excuse for Hayward tomorrow. Against Minny I think he praised his "floor game." It will also be interesting to see how he spins Hayward and Bell getting 37 and 38 minutes respectively. Leadership? Experience? Guts? It certainly won't have anything to to do with production.

The way Devin Harris played tonight was fantastic. That's his game. If he can build off this, I will be able to forget tonight faster.

Same %$^#, different year. Kind of reminds me of when the Lakers would stop Boozer and dare our wings to shoot.

Maybe the worst mistake in recent Jazz history was to NOT offer a contract to Korver. I was pissed at him for not taking 3's to preserve his record, but at least he can hit some shots and FT's. In fact, that's why KOC traded for him in the first place: UTah was losing games because they couldn't hit FT's late. Hmmm...like I said - same ^%&$, different year.

Once again we look like we've never seen a zone in our lives. But it hurt a lot worse when Casey called it with Sap out and the Favors/Kanter combo in.

sad sad loss, my heart sank when I saw those airballs. Harris is too wild for this team. Can't believe Millsap hesitated on the last 4th quarter shot, beast should of ended it right there. He is clutch, Harris is not. From D-will to Harris is insanity.

I thought Miles looked pretty good. He got to the rim and took good shots. Some of them just didn't fall today.

Cool.

Kleiza went off on his annual destroying the Jazz tour again. Did he kick anyone this time?

Can't wait to face Matt Boner and then later Ray Allen. Both those dudes are going to go off for 30+ against us.

Does Michael Redd still play too? He used to destroy us too.

Funny how the way things change the way they stay the same.

I just for once would like to see us destroy a zone defense. Unfortunately, I think I may need to wait another year or two for us to draft/sign 3 point bombers for that to happen...

Sap is sooooooooooooooo much better than Boozer it's not even funny.

Could you imagine if we could have gone to 07 with this version of Millsap starting while bringing Boozer off the bench?

We could have possibly taken the Spurs out that year...

No excuse for the Jazz but weird night for good/bad teams overall. D-will and the nets beat philly away, pacers beat bulls away, warriors beat portland, min beats dallas away. D-will was clutch and he was wearing a headband ---he evened dunked it this game. Something is getting a little better for Jersey. Jazz had a severe off night, hopefully we pick it up and beat the Mavs.
