What's new

I'm Back: Toronto Raptors at Utah Jazz Wednesday, January 25th - 7 PM

I already said a few times that the jazz blew this one before OT

But missing 4 free throws in the second OT?????? I think everyone is going to join me in hating Harris for this

He went 7 for 11, right around his %. If you want to say he "choked'" by missing them at the end rather than the start, that is fine. In the grand scheme of things though Harris showed up big time tonight.

The offense really sputtered down the stretch in the fourth quarter. For some reason they went to Favors several plays in a row and came up empty handed every time.....he is just not ready offensively to be relied on like that.

Hayward..... man. Looks like a total tard on offense. He hustles and plays decent d, but we need so much more from him. I just keep waiting for something to click with him.

This was a pretty ugly loss. somehow the game turned into a crap-fest in a hurry after an amazing first few minutes.

Hayward needs to stop passing up open mid range shots. HE has to learn to have a quicker trigger at times to get himself going.

The most pathetic thing was Harris and Hayward turning down constant wide open shots in the OT's. They were both terrified to take a shot.

Jazz as a team were 66% from the line. To hell with practicing defense, Corbin should have every one of these idiots shooting 100 FT's/day.

And I agree about Hayward. The guy needs to be benched. Where's Horny? He ain't earning his money as a shooting coach. If I were KOC, I would send Hayward down to the D-League. Soemthing is clearly wrong. Let the guy regain his touch and confidence. It ain't happening as a starter.

To anyone who attended the game: did they slingshot balls of air instead of the usual Phillips 66 balls to symbolize our phenomenal shooting?

Can we please sign Kleiza to the Jazz make him the 14th player and eliminate that threat all together. That's at least one less loss a year. Good god how does he suck for 79 games, and rape the jazz on the other two!

Agreed. At times the ball looked like Hot Potato ... you take it .. nah you take it ....

I like Hayward as a starter when AL & Sap are there since we have 2 dominant starters.

In a game where Sap or Al is out, I would start CJ in place of Hayward.

The Jazz are a young team with a young and inexperienced head coach - you have to expect these type of disappointing losses.

Obviously the attention will be focused on Harris' 2-6 FT performance in the 2nd OT - which is completely inexcuseable from your starting point guard - but when you look at the Raptors' roster, which team played the prevous night vs .which team had 3 days off, and the effort in the final 15-minutes of the first-half...there are bigger reasons why the Jazz lost this game than 4 missed FT's in double-OT.

As I mentioned before, this team appeared to have great chemistry and camaraderie during their winning streak, now they've had a little bit of adversity so it will be fun to see how they respond going out on the road in Dallas and then a quick turnaround with the Kings.

did the Jazz not have a time out at the end of regulation? i think there were ten seconds or so on the clock that got spent dinking around trying to make a play. second time Ty has let that happen

Nice of the Jazz to lay down against one of the teams that has to finish worse than the Warriors. Now to complete the damage, they'll annihilate GS next Thursday.

This is starting to remind me of last season. A hot start gets our hopes up and then the Jazz show who they really are. The fall will start in earnest when Millsap cools off. Last year he looked like a certain all-star and then played himself out of consideration with a big slump. KOC needs to put aside playoff aspirations and get whatever assets he can for Harris, Howard and CJ. Jazz need a serious upgrade at PG and SF.

Don't forget Bell. On some of those possessions down the stretch, I thought I was watching a college team just throwing it around the horn on the perimeter.
