So I see the premade paste they sell at Asian grocery stores and from what I understand I could buy that, some cabbage, put them together and stuff them into the fermenter and in some amount of time I'd have kimchi. Unless it's especially arduous I'd lean towards making my own. Do you have any recommendations for recipes? Or am I better off just buying the premade stuff, especially for my first time?Most people do halves anyways. Go for that. You'll have the tastiest Kimchi JJim of all time in a few weeks - months.
