Game Thread Feb 12, 2025 07:00PM MT: Los Angeles Lakers @ Utah Jazz

Added to Calendar: 02-12-25

I'll bet you that when he grows up he's much more likely to be a starting NBA player than not making the NBA The poor bastard is just so skinny and light atm. Need to take him to Japan and get some of their Burger King "The One Pounder" burgers into him

Enough of your fantasies of grooming young boys in Japan, always with the young boys in Japan, have a word with yourself man!!!

He just seems to have a poor feel for the game and **** hands.

Few do

He just turned 20. The most extensive wanking experience anyone has comes between the ages of 12 and 20, does it not?

Im sure @Douchebag K would be more than prepared to give the kid a few pointers...

Rubashov's career in wanking just took off from there

At least I'm not banned from the local lost dogs home.

Kessler has been the best player on the team this season and I don’t think it’s been particularly close.

Keyonte looks like he is learning what team basketball looks like for the fiest time. Benching him motivated him methinks. He is playing so much less selfish, but when we need a bucket he is much better than most.

Also, did yall like when the Lakers decided to double Collier 45' from the basket to get the ball out of his hands because he was shredding them?

They also didn't help on his drives.

Collier is disrupting teams defenses to the point they are making adjustments to get the ball out of his hands. Delightful!

The Jazz can make up for winning this game by losing their games against NOP and Charlotte next month. That will be difficult to do, but I can only imagine what type of roster we throw out there for those games.

Also remember that a lot of those Delta Center seats were filled by Laker fans. Screw 'em.
Great post

If you find yourself bitching about every win, you need to realize no team is going 0-82. Look at the big picture, the tank is fine.

If one of the few games we win this year is against the Lakers, that’s just a bonus imo.
Hate to be a drag, but this is a scarecrow argument. This is as much or more of a competition as any you’ll see in the regular season, except it’s to lose enough to secure top-3 odds. We are in a neck-and-neck race where every win has potentially catastrophic consequences.

Furthermore, it’s really hard to be worse than teams that are just organically worse and the Jazz are definitely better than the Hornets and Pelicans (who I would remind you also play in the Western Conference).

The better argument is that this is just a game. Or that flattened odds might save us. But I don’t think I’ve ever clung to every game because the end game (for what a team can control) is the regular season record.

In a season like this one, this is the only acceptable win. Anything that knocks the Lakers down a peg is acceptable. A Jazz win, outbreak of dysentery in LA, plane crash, etc.
