@Handlogten's Heros and I grabbed some notable Jazz/Draft Twitter guys to hop on the podcast with us to do a mock draft.

Picks 1-30 talked about in depth. Speed round for the second round until we hit pick 43.

A lot of debate and a lot of different opinions on a ton of different draft prospects!

Over 2 hours straight of draft talk, links are below:

Kind of a shot on the dark just based on my experience looking at stats of draft prospects, but if you aren't above 8% block rate you don't have a shot at being a NBA level rim protector unless you have elite length to be a deterrent who doesn't actually block shots (like a Malauch)

Where do you find those advanced stats on college players?

I think if the Hornets can find a trade for Mark Williams, Malauch makes a ton of sense at 4.

Malauch has potential to be the best pure lob threat of all time, which would be a great fit with Ball.

The Queen conversation in general made me crazy.

I am not a fan. But more specifically, why are we talking about the defensive problems of perimeter players being worse than bigs that can’t defend?
While I very much disagree with them on Queen I think it’s valuable to have other insights especially about guys we don’t talk about much.

I think CMB is very underrated in comparison to Queen. @Handlogten's Heros makes a great point. I really can't see how the difference in their offense is larger than the difference in their defense.

I think WAS should take a really hard look at him at #6. He and Sarr would be a great fit together.

I mean I brought up its the most important defensive position lol.

Queen apparently sucked at the combine. Not just athletic stuff... like the shooting looked awful and he moved slow. KOC words "he's a good kid... but he's still a kid" when describing his interviews. Most outlets have him in the backend of the lotto at the moment after the combine.

Shouldn’t we be taking a long look at him at 5? He could instantly help transform our defense.

I actually liked where he was picked in the exercise quite a bit. In the right situation, he could look like a no-brainer, it’s just hard for me with these dinosaur bigs.
