How bad/good is Cody Williams?

Lowe also talking about how the Cody pick made people lose their jobs and may have shifted Smith’s position on tanking. Truly a franchise changing player. Very few can make such a large impact in their rookie season.
In his interview after being drafted he stated how he would have to get in better shape because he will be playing at elevation. I did a double take because he played his freshman year at Bouilder, Colorado.

I mean, the simplest answer is that the Jazz cleared the scouting staff to make room for Austin, who is known in the NBA as a superior talent evaluator

But since you guys want to spend the whole summer ******** on a 20 year old, go ahead.

Did he actually?

In his most recent podcast he just said its too early to call him a bust - did I somehow miss this other discussion?

I missed the part in my post where I said Lowe personally thought he was a bust. He 100% mentioned the things I said in my post. And he's not the first one to talk about the change in staff.

Do you have a timestamp? I listened to it again and for the life of me I can't find where he says people were fired over the Cody pick.

Timestamp. He's emphasizes that Cody Williams was a key disappointment that caused a shift for the franchise and how two scouts no longer having their jobs is confirmation that things were not going well.

Outside of an injury for Cody, if he has another absolute failure of a season, I'd let him go. For someone to get ample amounts of playing time and just be an absolute ghost on offense and defense, you have to just move on.

I just don't see the drive to be better either and I hope I'm wrong but outside of Flip and maybe Collier (and Hendricks), we pretty much got what we thought they were on the new guys the last few years.

Keyonte has spitting images of Trey Burke numbers with horrible defense. From year 1 to 2, the numbers stayed almost exactly the same as well. He doesn't get back on defense, he chucked a lot playing the 1, and his handles are just not great.... but I will say, he is much better playing off the ball in his more natural position.

Bryce could have a Niang career if he stops putting the ball on the floor and turning it over almost every time.

Kessler is fine. Is he 30 million a year fine for a Jazz team that had it's worst defensive rating ever in the NBA? No. I'd probably look to to trade him. Not to say that was his fault.

I can't see the Jazz drafting all 4 picks this year either, I could see them packaging the 21 with the seconds to move up to maybe grab Carter or Denim if they're there but there is no way we draft 4 new players

Lowe and Larsen both strongly suggested they were fired because they wanted Cody Williams, I guess you can dismiss the hyper tuned in thoughts of both local and national media.
