Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I think there is like an 80% chance we take Kon or Tre. That's what I've decided.

I think the Jazz want Tre, but they're uncertain that he'll last until #5. I could see the Kon v. Fears debate fall in favor of Kon. More size. More shooting. Jazz may not want to build around a ball-dominant PG. Jazz could have Tre or Kon initiate offense and play Keyonte at the 1, but largely off the ball.

So he is working with the team that wants to take him... and he wants to go there but he's doing them a solid by tanking his value so they can take him at 5 or 6... even though that will cost him real money over the next 4 years? Its a 5M-16M difference from 3 to 4-7.
I don't think Philly is working with him. I think they could be amplifying any rumors because it is helpful to their situation. Any actual real stupidity is all Ace (to the extent the rumors are real. None of us have actually interviewed Ace.)

If it was on Philly's side Ace could simply end it real quick.

If the Pelicans thing is a pre-cursor to a deal I think it would be with #3.

Ace the literal definition of modern day tweener. Lacks the size/strength to play the 4 and lacks the lateral quickness/shooting to play the 2. Got horrible intangibles too. Wouldn't be surprised to see him doing a Whitmore style free fall on draft night.
Not at all

I'm not there with Ace. I think he can be Trey Murphy pretty easily. The only thing I'd be worried about is if he won't pass the ball. I think some of the worry and bluster is overblown. He wants an opportunity to get minutes and touches, just like any ambitious rookie. Maybe he wants a big media market, but that isn't really a factor in drafting someone.

Apparently, Ace cancelled his initial workout with the Sixers, indicating he wanted a more clear path to minutes and touches. Now supposedly another workout for Ace has been scheduled. Overall, it does come off as unprofessional. At least, the optics aren't good.
