I put $150 down that the Jazz draft him. So I would be fine with it money wise. But personally I hate the pick. I made the bet because it seemed obvious. White guy. Utah Jazz. If the media does it, I might as well play along.

My internet browser this morning had a story of "Three Players Memphis Should Not Draft with the 16th Pick." Kon was one of them. The rationale is that he would be a great Game of HORSE player but not much else.

Is Kon going to play like a better shooting version of Kyle Anderson?
I love Kyle. He is fun to watch because he is effective even if he slow and plays below the rim. Doesn't mean he is for everyone, but he uses tools others dont to get shots off. I feel like Kon may have to be this even if he rated ok at the combines in some stats.

If we are looking at two way players, VJ is pretty much that. He can defend, shoot enough, and he has the athleticism to be a top 5 pick. Otherwise, I move down and pick up other assets if I want Kon.

Trading Kessler or Lauri for a top 10 pick, maybe 76ers at 3 or the Pelicans at 7. It's hard to say, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility. It would be fun to have both as the foundation of the team. There would be so many oops.
