Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Well...I'm officially terrified now. Preparing myself for a major letdown tomorrow.
Look IDK what will happen but we likely know all we need to know about this front office and direction of the franchise in the next two weeks. I have zero read on what will happen so its either us making everyone guess or we have no real clear direction and are kinda doing stuff maybe.

Damn, that's kind of ****** of him, but he was getting barely any minutes as of late

They were already phasing him out bc he had one foot out the door. Can't really blame him because every time he steps on the court he's potentially risking millions. But respect to Saraf who made the decision to play it out no matter what.

I don't mind anyone liking or not liking Fears, but I get annoyed from the anti-Fears people who think because we have Collier/Keyonte that we can't possibly draft a guard who isn't huge.
My problem with Fears isn't Collier / Keyonte. They both have major flaws. It's simpler than that. The ONLY two things I hear consistently about Fears is... HE HAS AMAZING HANDLES and he is SUPER YOUNG carrying a team.

If Tre is a problem because all he can do is shoot and he has no stocks then Fears is a problem because all he can do is dribble. I would prefer a shooter with size to a dribbler with lack of size, 28% - 32% shooting stats across HS - College, no defense to write home about, and that mock draft guys have said if he doesn't go 5 - 8 then he could easily fall to 21 because nobody needs him as a player type.

And despite all the problems Fears has, he is still a more efficient scorer and better playmaker than Tre.

I didn't see it with Cody last year. At least with Cody I saw the Archtype.

I don't see it with Fears this year. Feels like a stretch to me that he is a bad Archtype, a reach at the 5, and the lack of shooting + the lack of any other skills make me think he will be BAD this season. I think his ceiling Kyrie but no one doubted Kyrie was the 1st overall pick his draft class so that is probably way beyond what we are getting with Fears. Just feels like a huge miss for me if that is where we go.

Draft the BPA in Ace, trade down, pick up assets, and STILL get Fears + a 2026 pick and I am ok with it. Draft him at 5 is insane-sauce.

Chatter from Brian Windhorst:
** Speculates that NOLA may try to package #7 and #23 (recently acquired via trade) to move up into the top 5 or 6.
** Charlotte a team that may look to trade back from 4.
** Raptors have discussed moving #9 in potential trade scenarios involving more established players.

If I find the video again, I'll link it.

I imagine that NOP is going for Ace....let's see:

1. Flagg
2. Harper
3. VJ
4. Kon or Tre
5. Ace (NOP trades up)
6. Kon/Tre/Fears
7. Kon/Tre/Fears

If the board falls in a way where the Jazz are happy with who will fall to 7 this makes a lot of sense. Too bad NOP traded 26 IND for #23. Even before the Hali injury a 26 pick would be more appetizing.
