Previously, soldiers who suffered from the skin condition pseudofolliculitis barbae (PFB) were allowed to ask for a waiver to bypass requirements to stay clean-shaven, as PFB patients can often have painful bumps and scarring from the use of a razor.
Soldiers who have PFB — which causes ingrown hairs that lead to skin irritation — may be able to have laser treatments covered by the Department of Defense. However, those treatments are costly and could amount to thousands of dollars per service member, and even laser treatments can cause scarring and may even alter skin pigmentation. Under the new policy, which is slated to take effect in the coming weeks, Soldiers who request shaving waivers for more than 12 months over a two-year period could be kicked out of the Army.
According to the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, up to 60% of Black men suffer from PFB. And Military.com reported that Black Americans make up roughly one in four new Army recruits over the past several years even though they make up just 14% of the U.S. population.

His intent to terrorize our city is working. My local car wash on Sepulveda is closed. The owner said he needs to protect his labor force.
Now the latest is we have ICE wannabes. Local television KTLA reported that on Friday an LA man was arrested for impersonating a federal agent. He had a loaded gun, fake documents, cop gear and a blinking light on his car. No biggie.
“People are staying home. It does feel very scary out there right now,” said immigration attorney Jaclyn Granet, who works closely with entertainment clients.
“It’s incredibly disturbing to witness as a human and also as an immigrant attorney, who works with foreign talent,” she told me. “I support the idea that America is better when we have a global community within our borders. It really feels like this program of mass ICE raids and mass detention is extremely short-sighted… If you’re raiding the farms, the restaurants – how long does it take until a restaurant has to close, or we don’t have this crop or that crop?”

The worst/best part is in the comments the wonderful christian people are going on and on about how obviously the people are here illegally so they have to go, and even when people point out the lady and her kids are her legally the comments go the direction of "well she was with an illegal boyfriend so kick her out too, and her mongrel kids". The times of compassion and charity are long gone. One actually said "the taxpayers are tired of carrying their freeloading asses", completely ignoring the irony of 1) the "illegal" is paying taxes and working, just like them, and 2) the taxpayer completely carrying billionaires by giving up their social services that millions rely on. Not quite the military yet, this is the "border patrol". At least now they have that on their uniforms, even if they are still too cowardly to show their faces. I wonder how they tell their families about their day at work. "Yeah, we blew up a door and dragged a woman and her 2 kids outside and put them in cuffs. Should have seen the look on her face!! It was hilarious!! I feel so manly, let's go upstairs babe, time to make a new fascist!!"
What gets me is the enthusiasm for it. I've had to support child services removing children from their parents custody at work a few times, it is ****ing horrible. It would just crush the morale of the shift.

Honestly man its about as enjoyable as watching someone die, outside of people who've gone to war, I've heard people scream in ways that is very hard to forget. Removing kids is one, some of the **** I've heard in psyche wards is another, the howl of mothers and families in the room you never want to sit in, man handling people with intellectual disabilities I can close my eyes and hear them scream.
