I might see if someone dumb would pay for him... someone that would buy into the aura of having a former Laker... someone that has a name that sounds like Rivek Vanadive.

He's a good player, but he's really relying on name value at the moment. I bet it works out for him somehow. The Lakers might be a smart team now with new ownership. I wonder how they'll evaluate the situation.
 
If the Pacers come and offer Jarace and 2026 first for Walker are you biting? Does it need one more first?

Just curious.

Anywhere from 125-150 won't surprise. Canada has some crazy taxes and its just a little more inconvenient to play there... so maybe there is some $$$ built in there. I think Walk could justify coming in slightly lower than that on an AAV but yeah... the comps are increasing a bit.

I love Jarace Walker, but I’m hoping for more. Two unprotected firsts and Jarace is pretty good though. Do we want to involve Mathurin in any of this???

Don’t think Key has any value with the way things are going. But I would offer him up+extra for Jarace.

I wouldn't want to negotiate an extension with Mathurin right now. I think a couple picks and Jarace is about as good as we can possibly do. Not sure they'd go that far.
 
With the Lebron drama I do think we should consider the Lakers package if we restructure the draft comp

-2026 Lakers pick unprotected
-2027 super swap with our pick or the better of Minny/Cavs (other goes to phoenix)
-2030 swap
-2031 super swap with Phoenix or Utah
-2032 unprotected

Luka looks around at some point and sees all he has is Kessler and the promise of FA signings (maybe a spendy Reaves) does he ask out?

Also Knecht... cuz... why not.
 
I would bet due to age and potential that Kessler could very well get more than Poeltl. Lakers PR publicly slobbering over him probably gives the agent more leverage too.
