I have never been but my co worker won the lottery and is going to bring me with him. We are going in December.

Will do. Kinda hoping for a light dusting of snow.
We are going to camp as well so Im also hoping for clear skies for stargazing (which totally contradicts my hope for some light snow lol)

Nah. It's an extremely popular and sought after destination so you have enter into a lottery for a permit.

People enter over and over again for years and years and never win.

My co worker has won 3 times in the last 3 years. He has been all over the world. Everest, Andes, cuba, Columbia, Thailand, and a bunch more places (he is single with no kids or pets and loves to travel and has tons of days off) and he says The Wave is his favorite.
He hikes all over Utah. Timp, kings peak, pfiferhorn, Olympus, and all over southern utah ( he loves goblin valley. Cosmic ashtray, slot canyons.). He hikes everywhere in all seasons and the wave is his favorite so I'm pretty excited that I get to go.

I feel dumb now for thinking he was going to the Wave after winning powerball or whatever.
