My lineup would be Collier, Ace, Flip, Lauri, and Kessler.

Hendrix isn't ready. He didn't even get any summer league action, and I don't see anyone ahead of Ace that'll beat him out.

Man, what a tall freakin lineup.

Hendricks has a chance to make a lot of lineups work if he can really space the floor and be a guy that can cover up for others on defense. I just don't think it's fair to expect anything from him to start the year.
Yep. We all should be hoping that he becomes a long-term starter. He's just not going to be in the greatest spot to start the year.

Honestly think Collier makes more sense to play when Kessler isn't on the floor. Jazz can put a lot of 4 out offensive lineups around Collier, but not with Walker playing. Not that they won't ever play together, but I wouldn't start with it

Brice's defense just makes it hard to start him. I think he's a worse defender than Key, he just hasn't been given a quarter of the tough matchups that Keyonte has.

But maybe he should start.

Locke said today that he thinks, based on a Hardy comment, there isn't going to be an incumbent advantage given to the players who ended the season starting (as in Collier)

FWIW: Locked on Jazz show hinting that Keyonte's looking quite a bit better than any of the other guys who have stuck around for the summer

I actually think he's on a path to be a quite good offensive player. He could easily get to that Monk/Sexton level and potentially even beyond that. It's the defensive side of the ball I'm worried about, and I'm not sure that can show at this time of the year. While defense takes effort and more effort would serve Key well, I'm a big believer that defense is a lot more than just effort. It takes talent, skill, IQ, and instincts. I have doubts that Key can develop those things on the defensive side of the ball.

Think he could be our third best player next year. I guess if we're strictly talking about our five best players, I would think it would be:

Key
WCJ
Lauri
Flip
Kessler

Collier
Keyonte
Ace
Lauri
Walker

I think the Jazz are going to lose Ace in seven years, so they have no time to waste with him, even if he's currently not ready. If they get a top three pick and that pick takes two years to be ready, we are talking about the Jazz having a 3-4 year true window with a ready Ace, before they have to make real trade decisions on him
unfortunately, the odds do favor this outcome. it's simply the smart prediction.

If I'm starting Collier I probably go....

Collier
Sensabaugh
Hendricks
Lauri
Kessler

But Hendricks would really need to shoot it well for that lineup to work along with Collier becoming at least average defensively. Maybe switch out Hendricks for Ace.
