If we actually keep Nurk as a backup next year, we killed it on that trade. This trade is a good example of why there’s no need for an existential crisis meltdown when the Jazz throw in a 2nd to move Sexton for Nurk.

Even this year alone, I think he’s really helped in the development of a bunch of our guys just from his playmaking and screening. He’s also been a key glue guy.If we actually keep Nurk as a backup next year, we killed it on that trade.
Injured isnt optimal. We will be forced to play our better players if we dont have enough tank commanders.Sounds like an ideal player to have on the roster for the remainder of this season
Except Nurk actually loves the org and Hardy. He said recently that "great support from the organisation" and "Hardys patience and trust" have made him rediscover joy in basketball. Or something along those lines.Boooo. Giving up Landale, a dirt cheap worker big, is crazy.
As much fun as it's been to watch Nurk's quirky brand of hub offense, I can't see him as a happy back up 5 playing spot minutes on a team that's trying to win.

He doesn't. He's toast.I am one of the few who wouldn't mind seeing if Ball has anything left to give.
For this year, those are all plusses. And we could see if there is anything left to dig up with the added benefit of a better pick in the draft. Win-win.He doesn't. He's toast.
<5pts on 20 mins per game and shooting 30 %.
And you can't see any glimpses on the court either.
I'm sure there will be at least one FO that still thinks like you, though.
