Following Potential 2026 Draftees

i'd say it's not about him demanding the starting role. it's hardy who won't bench him for that reason.

For what reason though. I’m still struggling to understand why there’s no chance he starts when we’re seemingly in agreement it’s better for the team and player. I don’t think Ace will demand it, nor do I think Hardy will start him just so he can start.

Kessler will be a RFA and it would be hard to trade him I think. Not sure

It is harder…but I think you just cut your loses at that point. Maybe re-signing+trading is better, but there’s no way you can allocate that much money to your front court. Walker would be getting traded eventually.

i agree - i think hardy will start him because he feels he's one of the best five dudes. or won't start him because the 2026 pick is better. whether he starts or comes off the bench will have nothing to do with fit/role.

Hard disagree. I think Hardy will care about winning, and winning doesn’t necessarily mean start “the five best dudes”. I also think it’s likely better for Ace’s development as well. I see no real benefit to starting the best for dudes unless you’re trying to appease egos.

Mikel Brown Jr leads all college players in heat check 3s. Too bad he makes only 25% of them.

These stats were both created and verified by eye ball test.

I have seen this draft referred to as the draft of centers/bigs. How are we ranking them?

Yaxel
Quaintance
Ngongba
Steinbach
Cenac
Moreno
Mara
Morez

Not a draft for fit kind of guy, but I don't think it's a bad idea to have an insurance plan on Kessler especially in the future as things will get more expensive.

With the way he's been playing and the flaws he's shown, I think it's fair to say he falling behind Wagler/Flemings in the draft. And even if he catches fire later in the season won’t change that.

If he doesnt dramatically improve his efficiency and show out later this year he may be the highest rated prospect from this class that returns to school.

Currently people still hold him in their top 10 but if you are a 6'5 guard with 37/27 shooting splits and 0.9 stocks then you are not gonna be drafted in the top 10, even with good FTr and playmaking numbers. I'm also doubtful in how his perceived quickness translates, since he cant really easily get to good shots even at the college level.

Feel like we need to get to 4 to ensure we get one of the 6 Dudes.

It’s funny how the nba admonishes the Jazz about tanking shenanigans only to do even more nakedly egregious shenanigans in the lotto.
