Why not trade Harris for Andre Miller... Discuss. :)

Because Miller is a million years old. We tried this sort of thing with Chambers, and Manning and I don't even know who else.
Lets not even if we don't like Harris right now.

I would do it for the simple fact that Millers contract is expiring, and would net us almost 8 million$ in cap space, but that's also the reason Denver won't make the trade, unless they really value Harris that much, which isn't likely

I also don't think he is an upgrade, although he might be a slightly better passer, but his skills are beginning to decline, he's slowing and is even worse at shooting then Harris is.

I have pondered this scenario, and I agree, it's a good idea. For one, we get a solid PASS FIRST point guard who can still play pretty decent D. I believe his contract is up either this year or next, so we're not locked into him long term. If his contract expires this year, we ditch Harris and get a half year rental. We free up nearly $10M in cap space for this summer to try and sign a good young point. If it's next season, we can play him, have him groom a young PG that we take in the lottery, and the possibly trade him at the deadline, or let him expire and use the cap space in 2013.

Win/win scenario in my opinion. Solid post.

Would Jazz fans be upset if we sent Harris to the Lakers and got nothing back in return (LA would use their TPE from the Odom-to-Dallas trade)?

They're both rentals. Except I think Andre shoots worse than Harris....

So basically, you give up whatever shooting Harris has for whatever passing Andre has and in the end, Andre is a little better but what you lose in team chemistry because of a trade is not worth it IMO.

Devin Harris has team chemistry? There is 0 reason Denver would do this.

mediocrity. Our sty.

Going to change though with all our awesome youth. Get through this draft, make one pick up through FA/trade .. and, voila, we have a contending team. Surreous.
