Miles for Korver?

I'm not sure if this idea has already been brought up but would anybody straight up trade CJ to Chicago for Korver? If so, do you think Chicago would do this trade?

Jazz do it: because they desperately need some help with perimeter shooting and he is one of the best in the league with his size and quick-release. He is a great shooter off the curl, and makes quick, effective passes off the curl too. He sees the floor pretty well. This next part may just be my opinion but I think he has actually become a somewhat underrated defender (considering most people think he is terrible). Overall he is just a great team-player and just seems like a great fit for this team right now. He will run his defender around all game and defenders will be hesitant to leave him to go double-team our bigs.

Bulls do it: because CJ Miles is 6 years younger, and a much more versatile player. He is a legitimate scoring threat when he is confident and attacks the rim. That's all I got really. I understand Korver is a big part to Chicago's team and I wouldn't touch the roster how they are playing right now but fact is that they aren't going to beat the Heat in the playoffs unless the Heat beat themselves. CJ could potentially become a very good scoring threat for them off the bench and Korver has plateaued and (probably) isn't going to become any better.

I think I would want to trade Howard for any draft pick if we could too to just open more minutes for the young guys. So we would have Hayward, Bell, Burks, Korver, and Carroll splitting the wings minutes.

I could see Chicago doing this if they wanted to save cash since CJ is expiring and they have rip now to take Kover's spot!

Just for comparison:

CJ Miles
PER: 14.2 - True Shooting: 48.6% - Rebound Percentage: 6.2% - Assist Percentage: 10.3% - Turnover Percentage: 9.0%

Kyle Korver
PER: 13.7 - True Shooting: 62.1% - Rebound Percentage: 6.2% - Assist Percentage: 9.9% - Turnover Percentage: 10.6%

I wonder if they would take Jefferson for Boozer and Howard for Brewer..then we could trade Harris and Favors for DWill and Memo, and trade Portland Burks for Wes Mathews, then Sloan could come back and we could be the exact same team plus or minus a few nobodies that we were in 07-08! Yesss! Do this now, KOC!

Am I undervaluing Korver and his role on that Chicago team or am I overvaluing CJ? If you read my post, I don't really think Chicago would do it either but it's not completely out of the question.

And lets say Chicago would (maybe with a 2nd rounder?), would you do it?

Man, if we could screw Chicago by having them take CJ off our hands that would be awesome. Getting a shooter back in return would be the icing on the cake.

You may not be undervaluing Korver as a player, but I think you're undervaluing Korver and his role on Chicago. Against 27/29 teams, Korver gives Chicago the floor spacer they need to make teams pay for clogging the lane on Rose. He's smart and - sometimes the ball sticks with Rose handling it so much and CJ Watson isn't really a pass-first PG - but Korver's a guy who keeps it moving. He has a specific role on Chicago and fills it very well.

What does CJ bring to the table? You say "when he's aggressive and driving the ball..." but how often does he play like that? For every time he takes it to the basket he shoots 2-3 off-balance three-pointers or step-back jumpers. Physicall CJ should be a good defender but mentally you see breakdowns and mistakes. He is younger than Korver, but he's also a FA after the season and I doubt Chicago is going to give 2 hoots about having CJ's bird rights to resign him in the offseason. The Bulls need a legit starting 2 (they thought Rip would be that guy), not another bench guy.

Again, I would love for this trade to go through but I have no idea why Chicago would do it. Sometimes one man's trash is another man's treasure - but most of the time the trash belongs in the garbage.

**** Korver he might be a good shooter he might even help our team but I never want to see him in a Jazz uniform again. Anyone who stops shooting open shots when we are in a playoff position hunt so he gets some stupid shooting record has no place here. He really ****ed us over.
